Caesar,
Maz was working on it mostly in her free time, as far as I'm aware she was moved off the RS3 team (or something like that) and, as such, can really only do it during TAPP, which is some time off on Thursdays. I'm not sure if it was passed onto a team, or onto QA or anything like that, but it was never a guarantee anyway. It's supposedly very complicated, so if just a single person was working on it it would take a very long time to complete.

I think it was more of a fleeting crush, but ya
LOL quick pelt it with chocolates and roses! And use one of those special pokéballs!!
Also, I don't know if these recent updates have been love toward clans, or love towards people who are a part of clans and who lead clans. As in, I don't know how autonomous these update decisions were--are there a few people who skim the forums and social media and represent what the most vocal (and biased) folks are feeling, or are the forums simply an inspiration board for people who make decisions based on their own opinions of what they would like to have and see?

Thank you for answering. Do we know if there is any future plans to take up the permissions update?

's 2nd post on the first page, but it would be powerful if progress on clan related stuff could be more transparent. I think that's the suggestion behind his post, based on the frustration I think I'm sharing?
For example, if either
Maz
or
MattHe
really resonated with a suggestion, then it would be super appreciated if they said so. But in order for them to be comfortable doing that, it would require on our end being respectful with our expectations, and understanding that priorities can change, sometimes for confidential or personal reasons. (This is starting to remind me of consent, and respecting that humans are 3-dimensional with complex opinions that differ among situations and over time).
In addition, it would be nice if we received feedback on how we're giving feedback. My concern is that when it seems like the jmods aren't hearing us, people will put in their emotional all because they don't have much to lose. However, that becomes a problem with actual repercussions when a valid point isn't taken seriously enough. since conceding to such a point feels more like submitting to someone than assimilating their perspective as your own.
I mention this because my classmates are engineers and sometimes I want to facedesk when I have a dumb question I need to ask, but I can't, either because I'm either too self-conscious or because my ego doesn't wanna give someone their satisfaction. Some people with stiff egos won't let up being "right" where others are wrong, instead of understanding that instead of being wrong, it's most likely that someone was confused or there was miscommunication, as a result of people thinking differently.
Updates are more likely to be forwarded and implemented when it's easy to yes to the person/source, so that jmods can say yes to the idea as well. (Aka life in general)

There is no current plan to complete the Permissions rework as we drew up that piece of development at first. The project and what it needed to achieve was just too unwieldy to develop and QA. Therefore Mod Maz broke the project down into chunks and developed various little bits separately, some of which have already been released and some of the rest are currently in the development backlog as Mod Maz is now over in the OSRS team.
Ninja have since picked up some of the other changes we had looked at including the 7 days and the avatar timer. In the meantime the design team continue to look at Clan content and usage for the future.

These are some good points, though my question to Matthe would be; are we (as clan leaders) here in a position to give suggestions and feedback regarding clan/qol updates?
My concern is that your hands are full with other projects and such (related to clans or not, we don't know) and people here are voicing their opinions and feedback but will it ever go somewhere?
I think being transparent is very important and if your development time is full with other projects for the time being, we deserve to know what's on your plate.
I am not a developer - I am a Community Manager. What I do here is read the feedback and suggestions and feed those into the dev teams.
Quite often I will provide a likelyhood of the suggestion being developed, based upon the current available resource, the design implications and the complexity of the request.
