Due to the votes old school recieved when a poll was put up for it. It was given a small team to keep tthe game going as well as cheaper membership because of number of votes. I believe it's same price as our runescape.

The original idea was membership there to be like 10 pound a month but due to amount of votes it was made cheaper.

Membership includes both Runescape3 AND Old School. During the voting for OSRS, some of the "milestones" to reach included extra membership costs to play Old School. For example, if the number of voters was over 50,000 but below 100,000, it'd cost 10 pounds in addition to normal membership. As it was, the number of votes actually fell short of the milestone for no extra costs, but Jagex said they'd keep it as one membership and "reevaluate it" over the next few months.
