Welcome to the Rogue Ninja Civilization's (RNC) newest thread. The RNC is a rogue ninja clan that has been running off and on since 2006.

What do we mean by "rogue ninja"?

The "ninja" aspect takes us back to the RNC's roots – Rogues’ Den – which is the inspiration for our Agility/Thieving focus and theme. Rather than using standard ranks, we have evolved our ranking structure to include various aspects of ninja culture, such as the four elements, to emphasize our dedication to creativity and willingness to make RuneScape more than just RuneScape.

The “rogue” aspect is simply our belief in shaping our own clan experiences; one that is not bound by RuneScape or tradition. We’re always looking for new ideas to make the clan what our members want it to be – while this is a clan that has a focus on Agility/Thieving, we are not bound by that – we do what our members want. This clan has no requirements to join, so whether you’re here for community, leadership opportunities, skilling, bossing, warring, minigames, a Tier 7 Citadel – the clan’s “rogue” aspect opens our doors up for much more.

Our main objective is to provide our members an experience that will define their RuneScape experience – one that will provide you with friends and a community that will even go beyond your time on RuneScape. Upon joining a new clan, it's easy to become confused by the terminology and complications of a system. For this reason, we highly advise all new members to read this brief introduction to RNC clan life:

¤ Upranking in the Clan: Earning Points ¤

The RNC has a points system that is used to measure participation within the clan. There are multiple ways to go about earning points, but the most common method is through events, or what we call missions. Points, in addition with Agiliy/Thieving/Herblore levels and exams, are used for upranking (to see more on upranking, see Post 19). You can check your amount of points on Posts 11-13.

Some Basic Ways to Earn Points:
º Attending Missions/Meetings (See Post 3!)
º Voting in the Poll on the RS Forums (See Post 4!)
º Voting in the Poll on the Clan's Offsite (See a leader in-game!)
º Capping at the Citadel (Earns you 15 points a week so long as you post in the Citadel Give-A-Way Thread, see bottom of Post 4!)

¤ Elements ¤

Following the theme of ninjas, the RNC has an elemental system that serves as the creation of factions within the clan. After you reach your second rank (Level One), you will be allowed to align to an element. The RNC offers the main four elements to choose from: Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind. To read more about these elements, see Post 16.

¤ Making the Most of Clanning: Getting Involved ¤

To make the most of your experience, we recommend the following:
º Attend events and be involved with them.
º Get involved in clan discussions in the clan chat.
º Post on the Forums regularly.
º Take on a Management position!
º Develop ideas towards the betterment of the clan.

While this clan is fairly lax, we do have standards that are expected to be upheld within the Clan Chat and at events. If clan rules are not followed, action will be taken that could eventually lead to removal from the clan:

¤ Respect ¤
Respect is to be shown to all clan members within the clan. Respect for leaders' decisions is to be shown through obedience; if a leader asks you to stop any misbehavior, you are to stop.

¤ Responsibility ¤
Every clan member is expected to be accountable for his own actions. This includes behavior, upholding clan rules, and being timely to events.

¤ Common Courtesy ¤
All members are to be mindful of how their behavior affects the clan. If asked for any behavior to stop, members are expected to be courteous and stop, no matter what the action is.

¤ Language ¤
Clan members should be mindful of how their language affects others. If a clan member decides to use profanity around the clan, the clan member is expected to understand that if he is asked to stop, he should stop immediately. This also includes discussions that may be explicit or seen as offensive. Common courtesy always applies here. Profanity and vulgarity should never be directed at another person while participating in clan functions.

¤ Privacy ¤
If a member has a problem within the clan, they are not to publicize it. All issues should be reported to a SIT+ for handling.

¤ Jagex Rules ¤
The RNC expects Jagex rules to be followed throughout the clan.

¤ Punishments ¤
Punishments in the clan are handled on a
case-by-case basis
. Any form of punishment can be given for a particular action, but are usually given in the following sequence:
1) Warning
2) Point Deduction
3) Derank
4) Removal

This decision was pretty unanimous for this month. Not a negative thing has been heard about this kid. He showed promising leadership in other games and we are glad to see that he is bringing it over to the RNC as well. For some reason he likes to do statistics on the offsite, but you know, what better place then here? He's always willing to go to missions, and he's happy enough to keep the cc going.
