That oh so interesting moment when invention breaks Clan chat rules.
We have a very 'do not offend anyone' rule for Clan chat. With members in every continent except Antarctica, at least 5 know religions represented and age ranges spanning 6 decades (at one time our youngest member was 8 and the oldest was 76) the chat is no politics, no religion, no swearing and no adult themes. Then along comes invention....
I was highly amused when one member augmented a sword that interacted with her. According to the sword it was a very bad sword....... would she like it to do it some more....... should they go somewhere more private to continue.....
Well we had to dub the game now fiftyshadesof scape, and I had to keep a very close eye on who was logging into chat, ready to shut down the repeating of the swords conversation if necessary (it did seem to excite a couple of the teenage lads). Highly amusing - no doubt the programmer had a lot of fun, but I can think of a few that are going to be more than upset if their inventions start interacting like that.
There are worse things in Runescape than that. An example would be the blatant admission of a love affair between characters in One Piercing Note.
If you feel the talking perk could cause problems for your clan, you can just make it clear to everyone that they're not allowed to repeat what their weapons say to them if it's suggestive.

There's an Easter Egg in the Carneallian rising Quest where you can use a Feather on the young lady, whom is chained up on a gate, and RuneScape will print the following message:

With 87% of the players being older than 16 and only 1% being younger than 13, they can't really keep RuneScape as some childrensgame without these kind of jokes. It's up to you to handle it, but almost every young lad enjoys suggestive jokes and it's part of growing up. Just let them have fun with it, after a week it's not new any more and they'll hop to another subject. I would also suggest to change your rule into "Do not
deliberately
offend anyone". It's impossible to not offend anyone, unless you don't talk. But even that can be considered offensive.
Lol most of us were highly amused - BUT - it is not the kids that are offended! They either do not understand the references or are more than willing to engage. Like a lot of adult based talk it is the adults who get upset
Not bringing it up cause it cannot be handled, just entertaining.
I think that someone is just being over sensitive and needs to get over their self.
By the way "Do not offend anyone" rule is extremely difficult to manage especially in today's society where anyone can argue that anything offends them. Good luck.

It's like the film Shrek, plenty of innuendo that goes straight over the kids heads unless they're mature enough to understand, it's just the way of the world.
I'm sure you're doing it all for the right reasons, but you can't please everyone all of the time.
This is why too strict of a ruleset can be damaging to clans. Then your time is spent dealing with insignificant problems instead of focusing on growth & quality.
In our day and age whoever is finding something like that offensive worries me.
