This might have been asked before, sorry incase of this.

One of my clan members recently notified me that his Clan experience has been resetted.
No name change happened, nor did he leave and rejoined the clan.

His name is Geatry (for the Jmods that might see and investigate this).

Has this ever happened before and if so, whats causing it and how can we fix it or prevent it?

This also happened with us, two members lost their clan xp overnight.

Runeclan shows them leaving and joining but in game their join dates dont reflect that.

runeclan shows a player named "null" joining the clan at the same time as the incident happened.

This issue was picked up by our discord bot 13.11.2019 and only 2 people were involved, and one of them has gained clan xp since then.

@The Pandaa, after checking your runeclan, you also probably had 2 people effected, Geatry and Walencia

This has happened to a member in our clan now. I believe it is linked to when Jagex manually updates all clan's xp to account for removing xp from those that left or were removed from clans. This happens manually as far as I'm aware when Jagex manually updates. I strongly believe this is linked to a bug of some sort that appears to reset some member's clan xp to 0 despite not leaving clan.

Edit: Not trying to gravebump, this is just the most recent thread on this topic that I could find.

This bug has not happened to my clan in a fair while. As far as I am aware clan xp has not been updated since november as that was the last time Mod Poerkie requested it to be updated.

We had an issue like this a while back could even have been a year ago.

My thought on the issue is that clans are low on the list of things to keep up and running
and happy. so they dont care about a few little bugs as long as the big picture is
doing ok.

sad when a person worked hard to be number 1 xp gain in clan then lose it all to no
fault of their own. they went to OSRS and played after that.. They are still in clan but
i havent seen them on RS3 in a very very long time. The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.

Sorry, was locked out (ugh, that wasn't fun!) and just got back around to this thread. But yeah, there was a clan xp update in Feb and it definitely still has this unfortunate side effect of potentially resetting someone's clan xp.

I hope that with Warden's planned clan updates that he mentioned on the stream that this issue can be addressed. While I understand the need to periodically update clan xp to reflect accurate counts (something runeclan does automatically when members are removed or leave a clan) there should not be a risk that some clan members will irreversibly have their clan xp reset to 0 by no fault of their own. This is a problem and needs to be fixed.
