Update: I've got a project taking priority for me likely until February, I'll post here if I get further with this extension.
I want to add that programming is an amazing thing to learn as a hobby, and that there are loads of guides available online that'll help you get started if you want to make something new :)

Hi Clan Leaders,

I'm currently working on a chrome extension that allows clan admins to broadcast desktop notifications to online clan mates in real-time.

The main feature I'm starting with is live avatar information but I'm sure there are many uses for a real-time notification system such as event reminders.

I want this to benefit clans so I'm looking for suggestions that would make it useful to you or any concerns I may have overlooked.

So this would be an outside browser add on? Would ad block interfere with it?

Also, I thought Runescape didn't support chrome anymore, so if the browser being used is chrome how does this benefit us?

Would it be okay if I advertised this on a site for RS clans that I'm building? We were thinking of having a section devoted to community-created/run clan tools, but couldn't find any until now. @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape

Heyy, looks like there's some strong interest :)

I'm working on it as a chrome extension right now, which is similar to a firefox add-on, safari extension or opera extension. Desktop notifications are different to pop-ups and ad block wouldn't interact with it.

I haven't looked closely into making another version like firefox, but making one functional extension will come before jumping through the hoops of learning something new.

I would wait until the extension gets some initial feedback before advertising it, but I'd definitely be keen on having it advertised once it's working :)
