May I recommend the new NXT Blog to be found in
FGU
I still use Java for day-to-day activities, and hop onto NXT for things such as special screenshots. I'd really appreciate it if we could retain a Java-based "Legacy Client" for people who absolutely insist on using it (for performance or otherwise).
If there's something that Jagex wants to do that they're *really* held back by Java, you can always add the error message "Use of this area requires the NXT Client."
Also, initial load time on logging onto a Runescape server still takes a ton of work. On Java, I can hop in and go right away. On NXT, I'm waiting for upwards of 30 seconds for my character to finally appear.

The issue is bigger than that - we are having to develop, test in maintain in 2 different clients. That is not sustainable.
