This year, the city I live in hired a local "general help" business to set off the fireworks. This business was actually the same business my brother helped create with his friends a couple of years ago! He and I decided to stop by this afternoon to say hi.
When we got there, there was an enormous stack of fireworks, a
lot
more than the city usually does. It turns out, in addition to hiring a local business, our city was also experimenting on budgeting the fireworks showing. In addition to using entry fee funds from the previous year to fund the fireworks, local business were allowed to have a 3' by 5' advertisement banner placed in the park for the weekend, if they donated $500 towards the fireworks. I guess this idea was popular, since there were nearly
3 times as many fireworks as they normally have!
The best part? My brother's friends gave us a pass to get in, and we got front seats to the whole thing

That sounds cool! The cities near where I live did not have fireworks this year (which is unusual but there is more risk due to drought for fires )theres even new laws prohibiting fireworks where I live, but there was a very large show Southbound, which I regret missing. I just hit the local bar instead
Where I live there is no "fee" to go see the city fireworks, you just drive down to the pier, pull up some sand on the beach and watch the light show. However living in the Tampa Bay general area, if I climb onto my roof I can see the St. Pete, Gulfport, St Pete Beach, and maybe Treasure Island if the weather is unusually good.
Some shoot them off barges over the water, others from the beaches. It's quite a show in this area.

This always gets my hyped up for some reason X)

Personally my favorite of the series was number 5. The story line was great and the song they picked for it was expertly included at all the best moments. Four and Zero are tied at second.
I still have them for my PS2 which still works oddly enough. Might go home and play some later...
