Oh so these updates that the community has been complaining about really are because of them.
If you have no idea what I'm talking about (this is old news btw) read this:

Alex Crisses and Jeff Horing are listed as the board of directors for Jagex, a board of directors being a group of people that oversees activities in the company.
It was more of suspicions before hand for me that this company I had heard about was running these updates, but now I really can't say I have much doubt.
Is it a good or a bad thing, I don't know. They could be saving runescape or destroying it. Time will tell as it always does
