Just found myself to have access today. Hi everyone

Maybe a small presentation. The current and the only clan I've joined is DreamTeam. A clan I joined back in November 2009. Last year my clan leaders had a tough year with motivation and a lot of things going on IRL so they decided to hand over the torch to me and my colleague Hades so here we are today. I'll give the questions a shot

1) Do you see yourself as the most important person of the clan? No, the cofounders definitely did a lot of work setting up the clan and finding initial recruits. I think the toughest time in a clan's history is growing from 5-50 members.

2) Have you ever kicked a person from your clan that you considered as a personal friend? Nope, I hope this is never necessary...

3) Are you able to control your anger when a member does something very wrong? I can't say I've ever gotten truly "angry" at an online game lol

4) Do you rank up people fast? Yes, based on a combination of xp & dedication to the clan.

5) Do you talk with members using other sites/ programmes? No.

6) Have you ever considered quitting your clan? Nope

7) Do you discuss clan problems with the whole clan and not only with the high ranked members? Yes, although I look most closely at the opinions of other leaders

8) Have you ever had a dream about your clan? No

9) Do you think your clan is the best clan in RuneScape? Not yet, but that's part of our plan for world domination

10) Does your clan stop you from playing other games? No, I have a lot of fun playing "oldies" like Star Wars: Battlefront 2. I also really like RTS games like Age of Empires and Dawn of War.

11) Would you ever join a clan again as a recruit? Sure but I don't plan on leaving any time soon.

12) Do you doubt on your abilities as clan leader from time to time? Not really, we try to have a relaxed atmosphere. The hardest part of leading is finding recruits.

13) Do you attend all the events your clan has in a week? We haven't had a scheduled event in a while, but I'm looking into this. I cap every week and bump our thread regularly.

14) Do you always read the applications new members post before accepting them? Yes, I like to see if they have a unique playstyle. One player I recently invited has 200m prayer.


15) Are you happy with your clan as it is now? Quite happy!

1) What kind of events does your clan like to do? Mostly just hanging out in the CC , but as I mentioned above, I'm thinking about this. I think it would be fun to get some dg parties together, especially since I fail at dg but I really need a charm collector and bonecrusher

2) How old is your clan and how long have you been leading it? We were founded in August 2013. I joined in January 2014 and was promoted to Admin last month. However, I'm not a new kid on the block -- I won a video competition last year and I have roughly the 35th highest post count of all users on the official forums. As I mentioned on the previous page, I've recently been trying to organize the community of players with disabilities using my FC. That's been fun as well.

3) How does your clan handle ranking? A combination of xp-based & loyalty based (looking at factors such as whether you bump the clan thread or cap weekly).

4) Does your clan have any requirements for new members? Just a mature attitude towards the game.

5) Do you have many admin+ ranks in your clan? About 15 in total, some are just avatar wardens and others have leadership responsibilities.

6) Does your clan have a clan citadel? Yes, Tier 4. We haven't gotten to Tier 5 yet because capping is not mandatory, but we're working on it

7) What updates would you like to see in the future to help run/ improve your clan? I have a few ideas floating around, although I'm still catching up on what has been suggested here already. I'm thinking about the structure of the public clan forums, and how clans can be used to enhance the new player experience.

- Nope, I'm part of the leadership team but we are exactly that, a team .

2) Have you ever kicked a person from your clan that you considered as a personal friend?
- Yes.

3) Are you able to control your anger when a member does something very wrong?
- At the end of the day RS is a game, as much as I love the community why would I waste energy being angry? Being upset that somebody has done something is more like it, you'll always be a bit disappointed when a close friend does something bad. If it's someone I don't know very well then I don't really have an emotion haha.

4) Do you rank up people fast?
- At SoA, we have a moderately paced application process... So it'll take you around 5 weeks to become a full member and then will take 3 years to get to the highest member rank - based on loyalty.

5) Do you talk with members using other sites/ programmes? (aka skype, facebook etc.)
- We have a Facebook page (which you are all invited to like - https://www.facebook.com/spiritsofarianwyn), this is used as more of a marketing thing but is still clan involvement! We also have our offsite forums which allow for far greater control than RSOF/RS Clan Forums... We also communicate to our staff/leadership via Skype and have TS3.

6) Have you ever considered quitting your clan?
- I'd have a job to find a place where all my friends were if I did leave!

7) Do you discuss clan problems with the whole clan and not only with the high ranked members?
- It depends on the situation... We deal with some things in Leadership then cascade the information to staff and if it needs to go to members then that happens. We also have an annual anonymous survey to identify problems that we can look to resolve.

8) Have you ever had a dream about your clan?
- Not yet

9) Do you think your clan is the best clan in RuneScape?

10) Does your clan stop you from playing other games?
- No, we've all played stuff like Minecraft and even Call of Duty together.

11) Would you ever join a clan again as a recruit?
- Probably not, I like being in Leadership!

12) Do you doubt on your abilities as clan leader from time to time?
- No, because we're part of a team with a lot of experience in clan leadership. Looking at our leadership team we probably have a cumulative 50 years of clan leader experience in our team at the moment.

13) Do you attend all the events your clan has in a week?
- No, our attendance is optional. I don't spend as much time ingame as I'd like to due to uni etc.

14) Do you always read the applications new members post before accepting them?
- That's not my area, we have to have a majority of leadership give the thumbs up before someone is accepted though. I do occasionally have a look over or give me feedback on a member that I think is exceptionally good or bad.

15) Are you happy with your clan as it is now?
- There's always room for improvement, but yes. We have a good system with good members and we change as we go along to suit our needs.

Tell us about your clan!

1) What kind of events does your clan like to do?
- We are primarily a skilling/community clan so we do a lot of skilling or bankstanding events. However our clan has lots of events in many areas!

2) How old is your clan and how long have you been leading it?
- SoA just celebrated its 4th Birthday, whew! I've had a cumulative 2 1/2 years as leadership, adding another year as staff at various points.

3) How does your clan handle ranking?
- For member ranks we go via loyalty after somebody passes their trial. (6 months, 12 months and 3 years loyalty). For staff, people must apply then they are promoted on a pro-rata basis by leadership. There are two tiers of leadership - advisor and leader. I'm on the advisory tier, but we work as a team generally speaking.

4) Does your clan have any requirements for new members?
- 1300 total for members then it's different depending on the applicants circumstance (skiller/f2p),

5) Do you have many admin+ ranks in your clan?
- We have 6, the admin rank is used for avatar warden. 2 = Staff, 3 = Leadership.

6) Does your clan have a clan citadel?
- One of the first to T7, thanks to our original staff member who explicitly looked at getting our citadel to T7. We named our dragon after him.

7) What updates would you like to see in the future to help run/ improve your clan?
- I don't think there's anything other than the rewrites that are being looked into.
