lol, Johnny, I clear my cache daily [including individual program files] and they said it would "only occur if you are in "Safe Mode"" which is a lot of Balonie since I have never played in that mode yet my stuff was invisible.
They said to "Choose either OpenGL or DirectX" and both crashed me immediately.
Yes, I get the black bar through my minimap in software mode but at least I can see my items now!

Never heard the 'safe mode' thing.
Hasn't happened to me. I never delete my cache and play on DirextX.
