Hey Scret,
That's fair enough, it's a bit abstract still while I get feedback from my clan.
The idea in a sentence is this: Encourage clan mates to contribute to public friends chats by taking their contributions into account in clan ranking.
Public friends chats include: fish flingers, vis wax, mass bossing, boss teaching, penguin hunting, portables, etc.
The way people contribute to these chats depends on the friends chat, but some examples include:
- Giving advice in boss-teaching fc's regularly
- Helping to compile vis wax hints regularly
- Helping to compile penguin location calls regularly
- Helping to compile calls in fish flingers regularly
- Taking a high-skilled role in a mass bossing friends chat regurlarly
- Hosting portable locations for public use regularly
- Helping to price check in a price checking fc
Taking them into account when ranking could be done in different ways, like:
Requiring for ranking / contributing to ranking if:
A clan mate is a regular contributor to a small number of public fc out of a list
or a clan mate can demonstrate that they have learned a skill that is helpful to a community chat (mentoring in barbarian assault, D&D compiling, etc.)
or a clan mate has been seen encouraging others to join a public activity that they are helping to host
etc.
I don't mean to go into the specifics of it, these are just examples. The main idea is that encouraging clan mates to contribute to community friends chats has benefits for individual clans and clans overall.
Edit: I've updated the first post with the more concise sentence.
