Clan Avatar benefits for pvm?

So, I notices the post "Clan Avatar: Feedback Wanted" by Mod Moltare QFC: 16-17-827-65870879 if anyone is wondering.

And I realized that the heal over time buff was being removed, which is reasonable.
I also realize that the avatar / citadel is mostly used for skilling which is also ok.

However, as an owner of a clan that is primarily pvm I feel that the closest thing to a decent pvm use for avatar is being stripped away. Is there any posts/discussion about making avatar useful for clans like mine? - Sorry while I'd love the read the 37 pages of posts and spend more time researching it would be easier to just ask -

If not, I do feel there should be some..
I mean skilling is a largely solo act while bossing is often done in groups, which is what clans are for. °ï¦ï° Ðuel (PvM) Forum °ï¦ï°
Duel is a pvm Teaching/Events clan- Bosses include: Raids, AoD, RoTS, and HM Vorago.

Sadly for you I don't think it will be added right away, & we all know the feeling of dread about clan updates which aren't added right away.

You might be waiting til you're 99 in....... years.


BUT

We all (& by all of us I mean at least me, maybe more) have a hope that
Mighty Mod Moltare!
(someone please make sure he sees this) will stay on clans until he has untied all the spaghetti & can remove the obstacles that we've had to clan updates in the past.

& then creates his own clan of programmers named
Mod Moltare's Mighty
(keyboard)
Mashers

& goes ahead with making amazing updates to clans! :D

The aim of the Clan Avatar chnages we are suggesting are to reduce the complexity of the code - this is the first stage in unpicking the current setup so that we can make further changes later. This does mean we are having to remove some features in this development project to allow for those future changes - if we don't do these smaller pieces of work first we will never be able to start bigger projects.

Mod Moltare has said he wants to add the HOT buff in again via another clan based route but we have not included that work as part of this project - it would be a follow on. Mod MattHe | Former Community Manager, now in Events & occasional Lore Monkey

The avatar seems to have lost it's step in the pvm scene. I would also like to see some kind of update to make it worth while.

That is always the case with batched or to follow on updates - they are always at risk of delay in the schedule due to other issues or demands.

Which is why you changing the Avatar in batches is a bad idea. Just don't release it until you have time to finish it. (i.e. put all the buffs back on it with the new code.)



You can't strip it of all of 80% of its buffs then essentially tell us "we'll return them in the future, but you might have to wait 5 years."

Also we don't want it via "another" clan based route.

We want it back on the Avatar.
