At the beginning of OSRS I remember Mod Mat K joining the zybez forums to gather PvP feedback from PvP clans. Since then I can't remember a single JMod actually taking time to gather feedback from PvP clans to improve the PvP part of the game. It's not like F2P multi in OSRS is bad as it's a lot more balanced than on RS3, but it can be improved.

Besides that, I think PvP should receive regular updates just like PvM and skilling. Additional items, temporary buffs to certain weapons, and making it atleast a little bit profitable. It makes no sense to me why there are no F2P rev caves. The idea that all good content should be hidden behind the paywall only results in newer players not getting a good experience and introduction to these parts of the game. If Jagex really wants PvP to flourish and attract new players to the game, they have to invest time and resources into it.

Lastly, Jagex has to start moderating the PvP community. Having a clan dictate who is allowed to fight in the Wilderness is nothing but harmful to the game. The continous doxing, ddossing and irl threats in the PvP clanning community are ridiculous, and Jagex turning a blind eye instead of investigating it isn't going to cut it if the PvP part of RuneScape were to grow.

Anyway, those are my two cents on the topic. Looking forward to read what you're going to write, so give me a pm on Discord when you're done ;)

I started this thread a month ago wanting to say that I was really happy about things I've recently seen in the game and outside of the game in regards to PvP.

I'd like to start by saying that I'm really happy with the community engagement Jagex has been doing on social media and with their live streams. But I personally miss seeing JMods in-game and JMod replies on the forums.

I'm really happy that a lot of clans have been talking about PvP. I think it's important that people talk about PvP regardless of whether you belong to a PvP clan or not because it promotes the idea that PvP is something a lot of us deeply care about in this game. More people doing PvP means more people doing all sorts of activities in the game with different PvP and Skilling clans as well.

The OSRS PvP clans currently have over 10 different ways of finding one another. I'm hoping that as the RS3 Community heals from the damage caused by the EOC, we will eventually see clans once again making an effort to collaborate doing more PvP activities together.

The game I started playing in 2006 and fell in love with was once referred to as the most popular free MMORPG in the world . Today, I hear JMods refer to RuneScape as a "subscription game".

I don't know what Jagex thinks about F2P as a game mode. But I know a lot of paying players who chanted "We Pay We Say" and their favorite thing in the game is F2P PvP.

I personally like variety - I enjoy F2P and P2P PvP in both OSRS and RS3 in both EOC and Legacy. I prefer Multi PvP, but I'm not opposed to the occasional Single PvP interaction.

When I look at RS3...

We could use someone representing the PvP Community on Player Advocacy Groups.

I'm pretty amazed at all of the new items F2P has. But I don't understand why some of the best F2P items such was Warpriest items are not tradeable and can only be obtained in P2P worlds while others like the Starfury cape can't even be obtained right now by anyone that doesn't alreay have it.

To lower the cost of entry to PvP, I wish that there was a way to repair Fist of Guthix items with gp or that Fist of Guthix tokens were tradeable and I also wish that Dungeoneering items were tradeable. This would allow people to simply buy some of the best combat items for PvP without having to waste time doing Fist of Guthix or Dungeoneering.

I personally find it extremely hard to sustain damage in PvP:
- I think all shields should have damage reduction in PvP like they already have for PvM. Currently, shields can be used as a defensive weapon on EOC combat but they're useless in Legacy combat.
- Most tank armor is degradeable, non-repairable and expensive to purchase on a frequent basis due to being very rare to obtain. If the drop rate for some PvP items like corrupt dragon was dropped to say something like 1/128, the Forinthry Dungeon would most likely be as popular as the OSRS Revenant Caves encouraging PvP Clans to fight one another over domination of the Wilderness.

I also think it'd be interesting to have Castle Wars and Soul Wars in F2P.

P2P is not as appealing to me as it used to be for PvP. I think that maxed players with billions of gp worth of combat gear and untradeable gear obtained exclusively from high level PvM have a ridiculous advantage over other players. I don't know the solution to this, but perhaps if we had more PvP gear or PvP gear was easier to obtain, you could have rich PvMers with PvM combat gear fighting against experienced PKers using cheap PvP gear like we used to Pre-EOC.

When I look at OSRS...

It'd be nice if OSRS clans were given the opportunity to apply for CLF Access .

The F2P Wilderness could use some love. Aside from the weekend clusters, the only reason to venture to it is to mine the Rune rock.

The P2P Wilderness is great as it is in my opinion. We have great spots for single players like the black chinchompas hunting spot and chaos temple, we have great spots for small groups like Callisto and Venenatis, and my favorite part of it is Revenant Caves where you will always find large groups of people to kill.

I'm really happy with the Ferox Enclave. It is very popular, a great place to recruit new clan members and a lot of new PvP clans and teams have formed since it's release.

In RS3...

There is so much content which has affected PvP already that I honestly wish Jagex would slow down and let people adapt to the changes.

In OSRS...

I sent a suggestion about F2P Rings. Currently, there are no useful rings for F2P. I think that it'd be nice to have the Explorer's Ring and Ring of Devotion back in F2P. And I also think that the Ring of dueling should be F2P to make it easier for people to move around.

I'd support F2P Revenant Caves. But I'd prefer for Jagex to do something like add additional items to the drop table of Wilderness Greater Demons making them as profitable to kill as Revenants given Demonic Ruins historically speaking has been the spot where F2P PvP clans fought one another.

I've heard JMods talk about perhaps introducing new PvP minigames and I know they like to give us surprises, but when it comes to Old School I really wish that they blog about ideas they have. I don't think most Old School players like surprises since many of us grew up watching Jagex destroy things we enjoyed about RuneScape.

Lastly, Jagex has to start moderating the PvP community.

I honestly don't know if Jagex can do much to moderate the PvP community. Some cases I've seen have gotten gnarly.

I know they changed the way they pick PMods so hopefully we'll get some new PMods who have an interest in PvP. But there is little Jagex can do about what happens outside of the game.

Jagex's attitude of letting players choose how secure they want to be in the game honestly bothers me. I wish they added stuff like a pop up telling people to secure their account with the authenticator and have some kind of opt-out remove this notification thing like we have with treasure hunter instead of this opt-in thing that we have right now.

I'd also like Jagex to promote online safety and privacy more than they do which would prevent a lot of problems from escalating outside of the game, but we as clan leaders can also do this within our clans.
