I think Sookie Lala's idea may work the best for us. Our build tick is on Tuesday. Maybe it's not too late this week to adjust our upkeep targets to cover stronghold upkeep.
Hopefully this will help us get past the final exam lull.

Since we didn't get our upkeep the last build and the state of the citadel is dilapidated currently, what happens if we only get the upkeep for the stronghold? Does the bbq drop down to Tier 6, but we get the three avatars back?
I cant really remember but i think the plot may stay at tier 7 and drop to tier 6 the week after if you don't meet upkeep, then it will drop a tier each week you don't meet upkeep. I seem to recall a weeks grace but I am not completely certain it is so. It may well drop a tier.
You will get your avatars back if you get upkeep for the stronghold this week though. Good luck.
Edit: Oh, another thing, you can move the plots around on the upkeep page. I moved the battlefield to last place and because I made sure I capped at the end of the week, (usually the last person to) I was often able to juggle minions and things around to ensure I saved as many plots as possible. I also moved plots around to make them last so that one didn't lose too many tiers, except for the battlefield, I kept that last as no one uses it so the loss of tiers did not matter.
Moving the minions down the plots helps a lot.
