I'm not certain about Teamspeak, but I do know that links aren't allowed on clan forums, nor on the regular Runescape forums (exception being I think the Runelabs forums; I just know it's one of the suggestions forums), either.

If your clan decides to use Teamspeak, by the way, I encourage that you ensure everyone is aware that the host can see the IP of everyone participating, and to avoid clicking on fishy links, as well as to inform them of any other scam methods that are done via Teamspeak. And it most likely won't be your clan teamspeak that is sketch, but that information will help to obviate complacency with future Teamspeak experiences--someone's experiences with a safe experience might make them less cautious of actually compromised Teamspeak situations.

It's officially not allowed, but it might be one of those rules that isn't actually enforced. Unless you mass advertise something ingame or it looks very fishy like "free cheats go to ******", you won't get into much trouble. It's still better to PM people ingame than put it on the forums though. I don't think chat is stored very long unless it has been reported, whereas things posted on the forums are stored on the servers.

To add on I would suggest never using a Teamspeak that is free. I pay for my clans teamspeak to ensure the safety of everyone :)

I don't agree. I've used various free teamspeaks in the past, never had a problem regarding safety. I don't know why people are still like "oh my god what if someone finds my IP", when every website you visit can see it. The only bad side of free teamspeaks is that it's usually public which doesn't allow much customisation. You can also ask a friend to host your teamspeak though, the ts server software is downloadable for free.

The problem with free/public teamspeak servers is you have no control over who can enter and what they can do. Some random guy, or rival clan or even a salty ex-member can find it and start posting nasty links. Unless you have admin on that server then there is nothing you can do about it.

Best advice? Avoid free ones. Renting a hosted server is so cheap it's almost not worth using free ones anyway.

As for advertising your clan's teamspeak on clan forums; while I am in no way encouraging you to do it, or saying that I do it, unless it's reported by one of your members I don't think Jagex is going to do anything about it.
