Regardless nobody made fun of that and told him that they loved him too.
He then gave up trying to spell his line and left the clan.
I don't know who was more surprised: us... or him waking up and finding himself no longer in the clan after the hangover. He instantly rejoined though. My favorite thing to do with drunk 'Scapers is to fabricate an elaborate, hilarious, and almost impossible adventure they embarked on when they were blacked out drunk, and try to convince them it actually happened once they're sober. It's even better when you can get their friends and clanmates in on the joke.
My personal favorite is convincing one friend he got an HSR drop, and proceeded to give it to his ex-girlfriend (e-date) as a wedding ring (they had broken up but were still on very good terms as friends, and yes she was in on the joke). Myself, his ex, and several friends managed to convince him that he'd had a full-blown wedding in the Varrock church basement . Someone who knew his login even went on his account overnight and put his character in the Blue Moon Inn with a tuxedo costume
We eventually all came clean on the gag once we'd thoroughly convinced him it happened. He took it well, and it was all in good fun. I don't think he logged in drunk ever again though

My favorites were when people quit the game for 1-2 years, came back for a day just to be like "wow why is this clan so inactive" and leave
