I have some news...
A request was put in and it has been done and going through Engine Review and then needs to be scripted.
CLAN BROADCASTS
Yes, the broadcast system you know and love that shares achievements will in the future be coming to Clan Chat and Guest Clan Chat.
Now... I'm going to clarify how it'll work.
All clan members in clan chat will broadcast to their clan chat if they get any achievement in-game that normally appears, these are in what we call tiers
Tier 1 = Global Broadcast (Maxing, IFB, etc)
Tier 2 = World Broadcast (Spider Leg Drop, 100m in a skill, etc)
Tier 3 = Friend Broadcast (Bandos Warshield, Khopesh drop, etc)
On release, all clans will see Tier 1, 2 and 3 drops from their members who get them, however we'd like to give you the option to prohibit Tier 3 drops if you so wish, it could get rather spammy if you have 500 clan members all hammering out tier 3 drops, let me know what you think.
Now to the good stuff...
If a clan member gets a broadcast, this is what it looks like!
Anyone who is guesting in your clan chat won't be able to make their broadcasts appear, however they can see the drops your clan get! They'll just see it in a slightly different colour like so...
And that's the hype! We think we've considered everything but we also love that even clan guests can celebrate the achievements of your clan!
Do pass your thanks on to the engine team, and then the Ninja team who'll be making sure this all works the way we need. I can't give you a release, but as we have it in engine and going through the code review process I wanted to start talking about it.
