Getting my clan name back Thread is locked

Hi Shauny was wondering if you could help me out with something, I gave up a clan name ages ago and give it to my friend to look after unfortunately pm'ed him last night and he said he cant access the account anymore, if you check the data relating to that clan name you will see that the I was the last leader and that clan name should be held by a free to play person who hasn't logged in for a while now.

Any chance you can help me out and free it up so I can reclaim it? The clan's name is "Nova Order"

I would think that, given you voluntarily gave up the clan and its name to somebody else, you basically have no ownership to it.

The owner of the account/clan should post here to request the Clan Owner position be given to a deputy or their new account - assuming they've been unsuccessful in recovering it. @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape

Re-read what Lisa told you - they should be the one posting to the inactive leader thread - not you - to have this taken care of.

Guys why are you giving him grief?

He's just asking for assistance, leave him be.
He explained the person in control can't access their account.

He's tried to solve it now he's seeing if Jagex can help.

Rob I know there was antagonism but still not worth responding.

I think you explained your case clearly, good luck getting your clan name back.

Above comments might seem a bit harsh but I agree with them. There's a dedicated thread for this.

Expanding on topic: if in the future there is "clan names release" considered just like they did a while ago (can't remember year) for certain player usernames I'd be all for that. Cool clan: The Rune Lounge

There is no history of who owns a clan. The person who is the idle owner will need to either get their account back, or get the clan transferred to their deputy - if they want to. Mod Maz
