The only 'competitiveness' I see that we might need is a daily/weekly/monthly/yearly(?) clan hiscores, anything actually competitive would shake clans to their core, and have the potential to turn the game toxic.

I agree with the others. Clans do not need to be more competitive. I'd rather focus on primary tools and ways for us to operate more smoothly, than some awful, knock-off, dev-time-waste of a no-one's-gonna-use-it competition mode.
Point = clan wars is dead and almost no one cares.
A lot of people cared, but most of them moved to OSRS as it has a better combat system for PvP. Competition is good for clans, but as I said earlier, clans can create competition themselves. The only thing Jagex could and should change is the mechanics to make competition more enjoyable for the majority of clans. PvP used to be a big part of RuneScape and there's a big market for it. No one is going to use it now, but that doesn't mean Jagex shouldn't invest in it. The PvP competitions on OSRS do attract a lot of attention, far more than anything that happens in RS3 even though this is the "main game". If RS3 had something similar we'd see more players in the game and more clanmates as well.
