I wrote a design a while back for Anagogic orts, improved it a bit here:

NEW CONTENT: Clan Insignia

Anagogic Orts can now be used to purchase Clan Insignia. Clan Insignia are a stackable, consumable item which grants one of the Avatar buffs for an hour when consumed. Players can earn up to 1,700 Anagogic orts per week (based on Citadel Tier) by using Citadel Skill plots. The boosts from a Clan Insignia would stack with that from an Avatar.

Clan Insignia can be activated for the following bonuses:

Heal-over-Time:
Costs 200 Anagogic orts. Heals you for 1% of your maximum life points every five seconds. Lasts one hour.

Skilling Bonus:
Costs 1,000 Anagogic orts. Increases all XP gained by 3%. Lasts one hour.

Resurrection:
Costs 400 Anagogic orts. Resurrects you if you die. Does not share Sign of Life cooldown. Lasts for one hour.

Protector:
Costs 200 Anagogic orts. Reduces all damage taken by 2.5%. Lasts for one hour.

Familiar:
Costs 200 Anagogic orts. Your Familiars will deal increased damage and regenerate their Special move points faster. Lasts for one hour.

Skill Plot:
Costs 200 Anagogic orts. You will gather resources from Citadel Skill plots 50% faster. Lasts for one hour.

You can choose to purchase Tradeable, or an Untradeable Clan insignia. The Tradeable version would be slightly weaker, but stops players outside of clans from being completely excluded.

Subzero your idea looks really good - just 1 question about collection of orts in citadel during capping - it would fail in some circumstances without auto-collection of the orts - asking because you use the word gathering so i was jw.

Knowing players gravitate to the least effort options, in my own clan I know this would initially increase capping rates but would over a short period of time could simply stop people from using our avatars - I see it could work however since, across the game, there is low usage of avatar combat buffs - your idea could increase usage of the combat ones by spreading the buff to other familiars. Good solution if can be done.

How does this interact with fealty also, any ideas?

I use the word gathering loosely. Orts could either drop to the floor, or be rewarded directly to your currency pouch, when using Skill Plots.

The reason players generally don't use the Citadel is because it only offers two things: XP , and Avatars .

• XP is a terrible reward. Any content that relies on XP as its primary reward will become dead content as soon as something better comes along.

• Avatars are an excellent reward; however, in most clans currently only a small number of clan members can access them. Whilst this may be alleviated in future, I still suggest that they may still not be a good enough reward for players to waste 2 hours capping every week.

Clan Insignias aim to offer something for everyone. Players would earn up to 1,700 Orts per week in a Tier 7 Citadel for capping (which takes up to two hours.)

1,700 Orts per week is enough to purchase:

• 8 hours worth of passive healing with the Heal-Over-Time Insignia. This would be an excellent way to supplement your healing on high-level Slayer tasks such as Edimmu, Airut, Camel Warriors, Vinecrawlers, etc.

• 1.5 hours of 3% bonus experience, usable anywhere without requiring the Avatar to be summoned next to you. You could stack a collection of these and use them in Bonus XP weekend alongside other bonuses.

• 8 hours worth of Familiar Insignia, which boosts your familiar's special regeneration rate. You could bank more frequently with a Yak, or DPS harder with a Titan.

• For those who really hate capping and just want to help the Clan, there's even an Insignia for you.

My goal is to give everyone a reason to cap. I think Insignias will help this. I'd use them.

Currently haven't implemented Fealty into the suggestion; don't see a huge need to personally. It makes players feel forced into the Citadel - which isn't what I want to do.
