This, because people get ideas no matter how many times you tell them it's an unfair advantage and against the rules. What I really don't like is the braggers. And especially when it goes on for a long period of time and a bunch of people know but nothing happens until I find out about it.

When there's a suspicion of a bot in the clan we will analyse carefully. If we're 100% sure we will try talk to get answer or ban. Since jagex are the best at detecting bots it's normally best to leave it to their hands so useful to report and see what happens.

My clan has a secret society known as the bot detection team. [Purely players, no jmods].

The biggest red flag is when they reach insane xp amounts, but never respond in the cc and have pm off or never reply.

Step 2- is finding out where they are ingame. 2 members of the secret society have comp capes and can get anywhere. Then the player is observed. If no response, these clan members become slighty disruptive [enough you would talk if you were slaying or skilling].

This is done over a period of several days, because hey, maybe they were just THAT afk one day.

If we become convinced it's a bot, and especially if we can never communicate with the person, they are removed. After all, if you don't visit/cap, chat/ attend events, what's the point of being with any clan? Seriously? 23 200ms. Founder of Jamandy52 skilling clan. Favorite skill: Construction. Love skilling.
