Can we please stop the reporting of threads you think are inappropriate for the CLF through the Flag A Concern thread? While I understand that the FaC does provide a venue for issues within the CLF itself I would much rather this kind of issue was raised in the existing thread than a post be made on the FaC.
May I ask why? Bringing such problems up on the thread in question is likely to derail it in most cases as the discussion steers away from the OP to the legitimacy of the thread placement. It may also cause tensions within the CLF community as some may appear to be trying to 'mod' the threads of others. I would have thought it would be better to flag such issues on the FaC thread to prevent the possibility of these things happening?

I would agree with Calm. Every time I see someone post on someone's thread that their thread doesn't belong in the CLF, it always greatly annoys me and feels like they're just trying to be a mod that they aren't. It comes off as very rude and out of place. Using the FaC thread would be
much more discreet and appropriate I would think, wouldn't it?
You my friend, need to
It would but unless the thread is super off topic is it really that big a deal? Personally I've not seen that many threads that warrant being reported recently. Some maybe that I didn't think were deserving of their own thread but nothing outside the scope of the CLF.
Perhaps we should just reserve reporting for serious off topic threads? Ignore the rest?
Ya I mean I would prefer people just let the mods decide whether threads are appropriate or not for the CLF, but if they feel like they must say something about it, it seems like it would make more sense to use the FaC thread.

Meh. I can see how it would be ideal to prevent any... undesirable discussion from occuring. Personally I think most of us are mature enough to handle it though.
