It says they will add an option to toggle on the main news page.
Also, this was voted in as a "Yes we want it" yet still people are complaining that they want the old version?

Ryanc, as someone who dislikes the new skillcapes, I can tell you exactly why. The people opposing it are from several categories for their reasons:

1) They were the 40% to vote against the update (I go into this category)
2) The Design shown in the polls were not a good representation of the new capes
3) They didn't vote and/or were not aware of the poll(s) for it.

I do get somewhat annoyed when people accuse those who protest it of trying to find reason to "whine." @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape

Well, those that vote - fine. But those that don't are just looking for an excuse. They don't look for the polls even though they know they exist and then complain when something they didn't want gets put in the game. In real life politics, a tiny percent of people vote - yet that doesn't stop things getting done. If you whine after a political vote, tough luck. You didn't vote? Then you are part of the "problem".
If it was democratically chosen, regardless of the % of voters, it should stay. I know Jagex want to please their community, and fair enough if it was 50/50 - but if it wasn't... well.. MrBrokenBow - Former Leader and Founder of

So they create polls to keep their customers happy by asking their opinion, yet after following the winners choice people whine and so they have to revert to their old choice (albeit as a toggle). Might make more sense to create an update without a poll, but add a toggle as to whether you want to use it or not.
