Yeah Ryan, always make sure I'm up to date. Used to have an issue where it would regularly crash whilst playing GTA V, even with latest drivers. In the end I reinstalled the drivers - including it being a fresh install - and no more crashes.
However, those crashes were different; I had blue screens, computer would completely switch off (not necessarily a blue screen just a complete system shutdown), and the game would crash and bring up the "A video driver stopped responding but has now recovered" message.

This crashing is just a complete lock up of the PC - not a system shut down, and no recovery for the drivers. Fans sound fine, PC in general sounds fine (quite quiet, but the tower is what makes it that).

What I replaced when I upgraded my PC over christmas was the CPU, RAM, Motherboard, Tower, CPU Fans and Heatsink. In essence I kept my GPU and PSU, but not much more really. No watercooling at all. Also recently got an SSD, but the initial crashes on fallout were before I upgraded that.

10 years of computer maintenance says PSU is my bet, but other causes could be many and varied with those symptoms. Mod Maz

Alright Maz, thanks. I planned on changing my PSU at some point anyway because my current one isn't modular, but with the upgrade costs I've recently done I didn't want to have to fork out more money immediately... MrBrokenBow - Former Leader and Founder of

@MrBrokenBow nice PC specs. If you've been changing a lot then yeah, likely to be the PSU. Both my brothers have had problems with the PSU after upgrading their PC's so it seems like it's fairly common that the PSU is used to dealing with old hardware then upgrading causes a big spike which it either can't handle or isn't used to so fails.

It might continue to work if running low intensity stuff on your computer, if your computer still crashes then it's likely the PSU is just dead.

I'm still level 1 Invention but a few clannies mentioned Invention doesn't drop orts. Anyone know if it will in the future?

Oh boy, they will have to fix the millions of other things with invention first id imagine.

Also putting this out there now, im going to probably assume the ninja team might be recalled onto invention.

Not sure if it would actually make sense to drop orts....
Orts are bits of the citadel island that have fallen to earth and become embedded in the resources you gather. I've tried in the main to keep to this consistently, tho there are a few places where it doesn't make sense - I'm not sure that invention fits with this theme?

Alright, thanks. All my hardware seems to be failing. At least, the stuff I didn't upgrade/replace. My headset microphone broke, and now my PSU... Lucky me being able to spend more money! :D
