Goodness what a long read.

It seems that the only useful part of the Citadel these days to the high level players is the Avatar.

Scrapping the Citadel completely in my view would be a good idea.

Maybe your suggestion about gathering resources outside of the Citadel could be one solution. But to take it one step further I suggest these resources be deposited in a container outside the walls of Falador adjacent to the Clan Meeting Tent with the Avatar or Avatars (depending on how much material is deposited) obtained inside the tent. You would still have the same old loyal clan members depositing materials though.

My vote would go to completely scapping Citadels and Clans and going back to the friends groups, but you can't turn the clock back.

Friends chats do still exist and are very useful for finding penguins, oblisks etc but I have never found one for just chilling in.

Citadels seem to be past their sell by date like most mini games and would need a huge amount of development time to update.

Maybe you could post ideas about how to persuade clan members to cap.

I wouldn't scrap Clans. Too many things like Clan Cloaks, Clan Vexillums, Clan Rankings, etc. I still find useful.

I just don't like Citadels; grinding at a plot gets boring after a while and being forced to do so every week for an hour feels like a slave chore.

Honestly, I think that's the way they should've been built. I would feel much better if I could PVM or PVP, buy res in GE and donate them to my Clan.

In other games, you can donate different kinds of resources to your Clan and Clan Leaders decide how to spend Clan Points from Clan Improvements to Rewards that Clan Members can purchase from the Clan Store.

I can't be bothered with the idea. This is a game. People should have fun with what they do; and let's face it, Citadel isn't fun for a lot of people. Like I'll do it just as often as I'll bank stand, but I don't enjoy doing it. And I just don't care anymore if mine collapses or not.

"go back to friends group" that still exists so what exactly are you talking about?

Just because you are unable to find one doesnt mean they dont exist and citadels are still used by players.
