Although they aren't their own ranks, there are the job titles you can assign to clan members, two of which are called "Inactive Clanmate" and "On Vacation".  Maybe those could help keep track of who is away or inactive. :)

I hope you understand my meaning better with this post. It's to stop deviating from a plan (one that could have been completed by now even) and barrel through it instead of running onto something that appears more 'fun' or 'shiny' in comparison. It's just so... neglectful. Especially unappreciative after all the effort that was already put into it by CLF'ers and Mod Maz(/Timbo?)/Matthe(?)...

No no, we can't seem to have game improvements, but we can have superficial garbage like an Aquarium for your POH. (One example of many an update that could surely wait.)

As you can see they are being worked on, so I don't know what you are belly aching about. Do you want Maz to start working through her lunch break, come in early and leave late every time she runs into an issue with code written roughly 4 years ago, just so you can have these things by next week?

No just kidding. We'd rather be patient and have it work correctly than to have it be released in a rush that might cause us more issues and headaches. Thanks for keeping us updated. :)

The longer answer is that such a system incurs a lot of storage problems (which can be overcome with additional resources), a lot of access problems (which can be overcome with robust permissions and a certain amount of trust in clan leaders), a few interface problems (which can be overcome with a bit of paper prototyping), some interesting balancing problems (which can be overcome by making Timbo cry a bit) and a lot of communication problems between clan bank and clan and clan bank and world and clan and world (which can be overcome with engine work).

As always, it's not an impossible task. There's no problem I've listed which doesn't have its solution right next to it. This means we have to prioritise very carefully on what gives the most people the biggest benefit for the effort, particularly when looking for engine work etc, and there are things which are more feasible to do for similar benefit.

The issue with adding it to the Clan Plan for future developing is that implies we expect to be able to find the resource to develop it and when we come to a vote by the CLF it will be included in that vote. As Mod Moltare explained the resource requirement for such a system is substantial and not something we would add to the Clan Plan other than as an item on the "wishlist".

There has been mention here and there that Mod Maz has given of her free time before to get things done. She is a super squirrel and we should be very happy with the updates she manages to get in and to us when she can.
