Hello clan people

we came to ear that the clan cups will get less attention this year.
So we have to cut the strings and organise this time ourself.

No event without proper ideas.
Shoot the perfect clan held competitions here and I'll make a list below.

Keep in mind:
*We are currently unable to obtain certain data (not comfirmed)
*Everything else is possible.

So this year's clan cup will probs be player based?

I kinda liked the catogories of last year. So it are 6 weeks and 6 things we can do.

So my suggestion is:

3 main catagories:

- PvM


I would not do raids this year as it is a lot of work to check all teams are inside the clan.

Subcatogories:

- Fastest kills:

6 weeks of solo bosses, the average of the 5 best clannies count. Video proof or screenshot needed. Screenshot may not be from the beast tab and must be at end of kill.

- Most kills:

Every clan gives the name of 10 people before the start of a week, all those people must send a screenshot with their KC at that time and one at end. (dates + time must be included, the screenshot at start must be taken in a 3 - 6 hour period so people can't start too soon. Same for ending one).

- Telos Cup:

Every clan gives the name of 10 people before start with their enrage and KC. Simular to most kills, the clan with the highests KC/enrage rates wins. Same rules regarding screens as most kills.

- PvP


I would not do a combined cup as people will use the best way to win anyway. All matches in Rated clan wars, leaders/representatives confirm result after a match with a screenshot.

Not sure what the best way is to do. But I think that most xp/day will be too easy to cheat with TH/lamps etc. And people getting an unfair advantage.

So my idea is too gather stuff. U team up with 5 people every week for 1 skill at a skilling location. The clans give the team names on forum. The clan who gather's the most objects wins.

For example woodcutting cup:
To gather the most Magic logs below seers at the place with 4 magic logs.

Someone in charge of cup will be at the start location to check players inventory's, downside is that that person needs to stay there so people will not cheat. If someone of the players leave the area or log out longer as 10 seconds. That person's total does not count for the total/clan.

- Downside is that the person in charge has to stay an hour there. Ceecs - leader of Ceecs Clan

I like Calm's idea of an Iron Man cup, to make up for the Skilling cup which we can't track.

For PVM I was thinking if there was group bosses (perhaps hardmode GWD or GWD2) and we have a clan leader present as a referee to count (the clans only get one shot in each round)
If there's a trackable stat (from adv log) like time for certain bosses then this could be used along with the clan providing a list of names.

PVP I think is straight forward (we can use rules from previous years)

With the addition of duel anywhere, I'd like to see some sort of addition of this. Perhaps a fight for falador or Lumbridge Castle. (haven't quite thought how it would work though, so anything we could do to track fights?)

We still need advertisement from Jagex if we can.

For Prizes I was thinking if there was some sort of artist who'd be up for doing something (I'd be up for making a 3D model of something). Another prize idea is a picture of "a battlefield" or "a boss" where the winning clan is in the picture. Perhaps even just a stickied Clan Cup thread in Clan Home forum to act as a Clan Plaque.

Should ask which clans actually want to fight in RCW. Almost every warring clan prefers Purple Portal, for a reason. The RCW map is shit. We could barely enjoy last JCups because of it, as it doesn't matter whether you win or lose in RCW as nobody uses the map outside of the JCup anyway. If it's about which clan is the best, Purple Portal Classic map center bounds for Knock-Out and Turrets for KC are far more representative. They both offer the advantage of having spectators. Last year we had to wait outside of the portal asking everyone who died what the score was. If it's going to be player run we should have a vote.

yeah, this would give us a chance to bring it back to purple portal, Jagex has more access to the RCW but us players can access purple portal easier as spectators

agreed that purple portal is more user friendly the only problem is that non clannies can join as well. I will add the suggestions anyway.

What will be included will still need to be discussed ;)

A player run skilling cup seems too complex and liable to cheating. There's far too many ways to exploit high XP gains which cannot be monitored without the resources Jagex used to maintain legitimate scores. Calm Enigma's suggestion for a ironman style skilling cup, would seem the most feasible imo.

The PvM cups are also subject to cheating, video/screenshot proof can be manipulated (I would like to think people wouldn't stoop this low, but if decent rewards were on offer... )

Maybe 1v1 style bosses would be interesting, like how 2 players can compete for a drop at nex. There are issues with this method too but perhaps we have to accept nothing will be perfect without the resources.
