As the link above (which redirects to a different RuneScape forum thread) shows, apparently it is against the rules of the game, to have more than one account in a clan; capping at the citadel.

Can any JMods confirm this? Is it against the rules to cap at the same clan citadel on an alternate account? Because as somebody else stated on that thread, that sounds pretty darned stupid.

I believe our previous statement was that it was not allowed to cap at the same citadel on 2 different accounts at the same time. We did not say you could not cap on alts. Mod MattHe | Former Community Manager, now in Events & occasional Lore Monkey

I swear I remember Mod MattHe telling us once when Multilogging came up that you can't use alts to cap period, let alone simultaneously - the reason for this being (in part) the visitor count. @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape

Mod Matthe answered this question last year in a thread outside of the CLF, so you can use that as a reference if needed. It has been locked though, so it's not possible to quote the posts.

There was another post my Mod Matthe in CLF which I can't find

but what Mod Matthe said is you are allowed to cap with your alts that is fine however you are NOT allowed to cap at the citadel at the same time using both accounts at the same time as it breaks game mechanics as you can gain resources a lot quicker than supposed to.

Wouldn't using multiple accounts (not multilogged) to visit the Citadel be exploiting gameplay mechanics though, since you're boosting the visitor count?

I get that it shouldn't be allowed for a lot of reasons, but shouldn't there be some exceptions like clarification on rules? It doesn't make sense to tell some people the specifics of a rule while keeping the majority in the dark.

If some people weren't properly informed of the specifics of the rule, so why should they be punished for it? I know it's a player's responsibility to be current with the Rules of Runescape, but the specifics of the rule have to be available to begin with. @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape
