Is there anything in the works about the "lock on target" going by how much ore is collected that week as opposed to how much there currently is?
For example we need 1000 bars, so that requires 1k charcoal and 1k metal ore, as people make bars the charcoal and ore count goes down. It makes the lock on target useless as there is the possibility that more than 1k ore could be mined.

I would like to see something done about this as well. It's quite annoying to see ore go to waste because the system isn't great. Whole citadel system needs a rework IMO.

- Remove the ability to set targets on the ore and charcoal plots. Instead, when a target is set on a bars plot (either, or, both), calculate what target is needed for the ore/charcoal plots, based on how many bars are needed.
- As you make bars, the targets for ore and charcoal reduce appropriately.
- Auto plot locking on target will be default for the charcoal/ore plots.
- This will not affect manual plot locking, so if you wanted to lock the charcoal/ore plots, you can.
However this will need to be added to the long list of updates. If people like it.

What you can do currently is lock bars so they cannot be produced. Then you set the cap to (for example) 1k ore and 1k charcoal. Once you reach those amounts you can manually lock charcoal and ore, and unlock bars. This is a very annoying way to approach the issue, but it does work.

Thats what we currently do now,
You have to be on the ball every week & it always disappoints the clannies that want to smith early in the tick.
