I like the idea, but what we really need is options on what the broadcast feature shows us. Honestly, I'm much more interested in my clan member's accomplishments than some random guy's newest 99.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.
Apologise for the gravebump, but I just wanted to say that I completely agree with Hazeel.
I would much rather see a clanmate achieve something than some random person on the same world as me.
I don't think we should remove the world broadcasts, but I do think that clanmate broadcasts would be a very nice feature.

I suggest it be turned on by default though, if possible (edit: What I meant was for it to be toggled to 'on' when update day happens, so players dont have to go find the feature and never find it). With toggle of course.
Theres always that one person who asks 'what happened o_0'
I don't mind spam from clanmates or friends.

There are many drops, skilling accomplishments, and other accomplishments that don't always get recognized in the clan chat due to us having a large amount of players and not everyone is on the same world/has everyone added. I believe that it shouldn't only be limited to drops, but other broadcast messages in the clan and the executive ranks have the options to turn what broadcast messages go through and what dont, and then in those separate categories of accomplishments (drops, skilling, etc.) decide what LEVEL of message goes through such as things that only get announced on a friend level, world level, and the game level.

But really they need to make friends only broadcast first.
Definitely. I do want to see the broadcasts of people on my Friends list, and I almost never want to see anyone else's.
- Which isn't to say I disagree with the idea of broadcasting to clan members. It just happens that all mine are on my Friends list, and I'd rather see broadcast solely to friends implemented first.
