Clan only drop parties

Hello Everyone!

My clan hosts drop parties quite regularly, however the issue we have which is reoccuring is that people not in our clan are able to show up and snipe presents meant for our clan members.
As a solution, I would like to suggest having the option too allow clans too host drop parties in their Clan Keep.

There is already an option to drop baloons on the dance floor (in the keep) exactly the same as the Falador Party room so why not have a chest we can deposit items in for secure clan-only drop party?

The advantages of hosting a drop part at the citadel includes:
-Closed clan event, no party crashers
-Utilizing the colorful party balloons
-Making use of citadel decorations like table settings, ballon lever etc.
-Dancing on our fun disco floor!

Support! Had this happen to us once, people from Artisians Workshop came over during the skilling weekend and ruined it for us, taking drops meant for my clan members

The problem is not so much complex code (altho it is a problem). It's the 448 map squares that need changing and then testing. As you can imagine, that's a lot of work!

There have also been suggestions to be able to toggle decorations there to make it like an old castle with stone tiles, or different shades of stone tiles on the floor.

It is also been suggested that perhaps it could be made in to a banquet room, or the ability to toggle that.

The thing you come back to again and again with changing anything in the citadel is the almost total rewrite of that portion of the game and I believe it was said that was the second biggest programming update the game has had. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

It boils down to our Community Mods only have so much time to devote to redesign, or to following through with other departments that would have to be brought in to make the changes. So with it taking that much programming time (from the basic programming, to the graphics to the multiple maps that would need to be done), it is not likely to happen any time soon.

EDIT: I found this so it was the largest program in the last five years.

Lots of people have asked for this but both new tiers and new plots would require a complete rework of the Citadel code - it itself being the largest project we have run in at least 5 years. With our current commitments resource wise this seems highly unlikely in the forseeable future.

support or just give us a party box in clan tent and make the clan tent a medieval banquet room / mead hall.

but we always hit spaghetti code in citadel so i say as always nuke the citadel and let us build a clan village incorporating all skills.

jagex says clans are not most important thing on the updates list why.

Because jagex takes brilliant concept s and puts them in little boxes its the way game is /was made it has little scope for fluidity of movement or improvement unless you want to trash that box.

The clan citadel is a cast iron box thats set in concrete sadly clans are linked to

That kind of takes away from what this thread is about. Just talking about putting in the deposit chest from the Falador Party room into the Citadel Keep, rather than completely changing the citadel into some kind of village like you've suggested (not to take anything away from your suggestion).

They can't do it or dont want to as it means doing so much work it would be easier to start again .

Somethings in life are like that the citadel code is to hard to work with. With Nxt it might be easier to completely rewrite the citadel concept .

but do clans mean that much to jagex the answer is possibly not.

Any new updates jagex involves the whole community .

And clan updates came very low in last survey but.

We have been promised new clan updates for 2017 /18.

What they will be who knows hopefully a clan party box will be 1 of them

But the most important update we need is the clan permission update

im not trying to take away from party box in party room but if thats impossible give us a clan party hall in clan camp tent

That might be far easier to add to game, and something that i always vote for.

You have to always look outside of the box you are in for alternatives.

I dont really see an issue with the citadel itself as to the extent of removing the citadel completely, its fine as it is and many people enjoy it, the issues are with the need of updates for it, making it more user friendly, fixes, improving activity with features and a better place all round.

Personal drop party is a step forward to aiming for that so i support.

Isn't the best way to go about this, the same as any Boss? Allow the Falador Party room to be instanced or something? With a clan, nobody would guess who's name the instance would be under easily. LOL. Or better yet, just add a setting to allow anyone associated to the particular clan to even enter. Clan:

I agree that this would be a nice feature of the Citadel dance room; however, this would only be used by such a tiny portion of the game that sadly from a developer's perspective it simply isn't worth the time to implement.
