Grats indeed!

Just posting to return the kindness you showed us last Year, in inviting us to the 5th Year of D&Ds celebration, which you helped to organise:

As such, this is an invite to anyone interested, to attend an event to mark the opening of the Community-run Minigame and D&Ds Achievemts/Challenges. The event will be held this comming weekend, 18th-21st July, From the Death Erebus Fc, and will be to give the attendees a head start with getting their first stages crossed off.

There will also be a few sporadic mini-events, if can be managed, with a few prizes.

It will also serve the purpose to help out those wishing to start up an Achievement Set for their own Activity, by giving advice, helping with format, and allowing time for collaboration between communities involved with the same Activities, if wished.

While it's a preview for those in the Forum Communities, it will be very much relying on feedback from everyone to gauge the difficulty levels for some of the challenges, so we'd very much appreciate any input, there, too.




For more of an idea on how the Achievement sets will be coordinated and formatted, feel free to check on the JAGEX Wiki, where the pages for this are being formed!

They are very much a work in progress, especially after the recent reformatting of the whole Wiki, so there are a few delays, but hopefully you can get a basic idea of what they will be intended to entail, and be able to pick up more as it gets completed.


People not wishing to take part in trying out the achievements are still very welcome at the event! Indeed it'll probably be more fun if done with a group of friends; which is why we are running peak times during the weekend, so that larger groups can come along and still get help. The first of these will be at the start of the event, and later ones will be fixed on the return of the other main organiser, in the next couple of days. (We can work arround you, to get a convenient time, if wished).

The only Achievement sets started so far, are the ones for the Great Orb Project, and the Ghost Penguin. It'll be the Gop Set that the event is oriented arround, as the person organising the Penguin Set is on Holiday- we very hope we can enjoy the event for that one in a few weeks!
(and indeed ones for subsequent Activities )



Apologies for the lenght of the post - I decided to contain as much detail as possible, without rambling, though I do tend to fail at that, so if there are any questions, then feel free to ask.
