6.1 Assistable Skills

The assist system enables a player to temporarily use another player’s skill level and avoids the dangers inherent in trusting another player to say craft your gem and hand it back! With the assist system your gem never leaves your inventory although the downside is that it’s the assister who gets the crafting xp. With effigies the same principle applies although the xp from the lamp at the end is of course the effigy holder’s.

== Assisting does not work for minigames or quests and none of the following skills are assistable in any form: Agility; Divination; Dungeoneering; Firemaking; Fishing; Hunter; Mining; Summoning or Thieving ==

Use of the assist system is restricted to the following 9 skills but there are additional restrictions - for a full list please visit a fan site:

~ Construction - flat-pack items only; assisting in herblore habitat does not provide any xp;

~ Cooking - assist does not work with gnome cooking or lava eels (minigame/untradeable);

~ Crafting - assist does not work with a variety of quest related/untradeable items

~ Farming - assist does not work with potted versions (untradeable);

~ Fletching – assist does not work with quest related items such as ogre arrows;

~ Herblore – assist does not work with a variety of quest related/untradeable items;

~ Magic – only non-combat aspects such as enchanting can be assisted;

~ Runecrafting - assist does not work in Runespan;

~ Smithing – assist cannot be used for quest reward items e.g. the assisted player will need to have completed Death Plateau for claws to be assisted.

7.1 Skill Boosts – for you or to help others

If you are close to a level here is a list of boosts you can either use to open your own effigy or to help others open theirs:

~ Construction: teas in Player Owned House depending on the level of the kitchen shelves - cup +1, Porcelain cup +2 and Gilded Porcelain cup +3;

~ Cooking: Chef's delight +4/5 (depending on your level), Mature Chef’s delight +5/6 (depending on your level);

~ Crafting: Crafting potion +3;

~ Farming: Pork Pie +5, Stranger plant +1 (+4% of your level), Garden Pie +3 , Cider +1, Compost +1(+2% of lvl), Dreadfowl +1, mature cider +2;

~ Fletching: Fletching potion +3;

~ Herblore: Greenman's Ale +1, Mature Greenmans Ale +2;

~ Runecrafting: Speak to Oldak in Dorgesh-kaan + or - 2 == (N).B. This is a random boost and players are advised to use it for their own effigies and not for assists; the quests The Lost Tribe + Death to the Dorgeshuun are required to enter this area; you will find Oldak north of the bank ==

Smithing - Dwarven Stout +1, Mature Dwarven Stout +2

Boosts for skills that cannot be assisted but can be used to open your own effigies are as follows (Credit to: Dcmaneac13 for the list):

~ Agility: Tireless Run Scroll (Spirit Terrorbird) +2, Agility Pot/Mix +3, Abyssal Stealth Scroll (Abyssal Lurker) +4, Summer Pie +5, Citadel battlefied power up +10;

~ Fishing: Fishing Potion/Mix +3, Fish Pie +3, Admiral Pie +5;

~ Hunter: Hunter Potion/Mix +3, Mud Bath (pools In Og'glog, south of Feldip Hills Hunter Area) +9;

~ Mining: Void Ravenger +1, Dwarven Stout +1, Dwarven Stout (m) +2, Braindeath Rum +1;

~ Summoning: Pork Pie + 5, Citadel battfield powerup + 10;

~ Thieving: Bandit's Brew +1, Thieving Fingers Scroll (Magpie) +2, Abyssal Stealth Scroll (Abyssal Lurker) +4, Spring Juice +1, Autumn Juice +2, Summer Juice +3;

~ Woodcutting: Axeman's Folly +1, (m)+2. Original Fun Caver/Former Advisor

7.2 Skill Boosts cont.

Other items that give boosts to multiple skills:

~ 1. Spicy stews can be used to boost a variety of skills by between +1 to +6 BUT can also give -6 to -1 so use at your own risk.

== In order to make stews you need to have completed the Recipe for Disaster (Evil Dave) sub-quest ==

Spices needed for stews are:

Brown - for Farming, Fishing, Herblore, Mining, and Woodcutting;

Orange - for Construction, Cooking, Crafting, Firemaking, Fletching, Runecrafting, and Smithing;

Yellow - for Agility, Thieving, and Hunter.

~ 2. God Banners - +5 in Agility; and +2 in the following skills: Construction, Cooking, Crafting, Farming, Firemaking, Fishing, Fletching, Herblore, Hunter, Mining, Runecrafting, Thieving and Woodcutting.

== (N).B. The banner's boost for the above skills only works for one skill and only lasts for 30 minutes (starts to decay after 5 minutes) and can only be used once a day == Original Fun Caver/Former Advisor

11.1. FAST EFFIGY RANKS - PRIVILEGES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Rank applicant - before applying please read the first page of our RSOF and be aware: that anyone, including non-ranks and non-applicants, are allowed to call rules and thank players in our FC; that it is necessary to actively help moderate to become eligible for a rank up; that no-one is required to moderate for hours on end but should leave the FC if distracted and unable to moderate the chat effectively; that our aim is a relaxed laid-back friendly chat and it is important to act graciously and try to diffuse tricky situations by backing down and not trying to engage rule breakers in lengthy arguments; and that there will be times when people will just be plain rude! While we don’t tolerate rank abuse you need to be aware that there will, from time to time, be players who will flame you and if you can*t handle it then becoming a rank in FE is probably not for you. If that doesn’t scare you off remember that if applying to join FE you need to include in your rank application that you understand that our 'new approach' is about 'less rules, less kicking and more friendliness’.

Smiley - friend of FE although still considered a rank applicant: As above but is expected to actively call rules and thank players in FC; records the names of severely disruptive players and passes them on to higher ranks; is not afraid to ask higher ranks for advice/clarification e.g. if not sure whether a rule was broken or not or why a particular rule was called or why someone was kicked from the chat; and is welcome to hop into our clan chat as a guest whenever they need support or have questions.

Recruit - first proper rank stage: As above but is also expected, when required, to take screenshots of severely disruptive players and pass them on to higher ranks; respects other ranks and understands that arguing with other ranks is completely unacceptable and that if there is a problem they should discuss it with a Captai

11.2. FAST EFFIGY RANKS - PRIVILEGES AND RESPONSIBILITIES continued/

Corporal - as above but is also allowed to use rank === symbols, but only as a last resort.

Sergeant - as this is the first rank with the ability to kick you will need to demonstrate maturity and have a solid understanding of the rules and be prepared to explain them in greater detail to lower ranks and to answer all of their questions. As a Sergeant you have the ability to change our 1/6 rule to 1/4 or 1x post/min when the chat is running slow; Sergeants are also expected to give feedback on lower ranks and help decide on Smiley/Recruit/Sergeant rank-ups and to help mentor new ranks.

Lieutenant - middle management: All of the above but is expected to get more involved on our offsite or in-game giving generals/owners more constructive feedback on lower ranks and rule changes. Lieutenants should allow lower ranks to take over calling rules and take on more of a mentoring/supervising role and only post when lower ranks have missed something.

Captain - upper management: helps decide on rank-ups particularly who to rank up to Lieutenant/Captain; helps Generals/Owners decide on rule changes; doesn’t bully lower ranks but rather acts as a role model and promotes our goal of acting as a unified, laid-back and friendly team.

General - back up owner: helps the Owners & Deputy Owner run the FC and the CC and has veto power on rank ups/rule changes; has decisive influence on the direction of the FC/CC; demonstrates great professionalism and maturity and is "above all the drama”; and acts as a confidential mediator or arbitrator that ranks can go to, look up to and trust.
