I checked if I was able to improve the maximum ship stats with the newest members of the crew. Here are the best combinations that I was able to find:

Morale + Seafaring (no merchant)



Breakdown:

Captain : 2160 Morale, 1200 Seafaring + Leader x4
Stargazer 1 : 0 Morale, 4210 Seafaring + Seafriend
Stargazer 2 : 0 Morale, 4200 Seafaring + Seafriend
Zhonghu Player 1 : 4200 Morale, 0 Seafaring + Leader
Zhonghu Player 2 : 4330 Morale, 30 Seafaring
Kharidian Exile: 1000 Morale, 2900 Seafaring

Seasinger equipment disassembles into Oceanic Components.
Oceanic Components can be made into Undead Slayer ability codex (perfect for Hermod, Rasial, and Necromancy training) and also Invigorating perk, which is very useful for Necromancy adrenaline gain.

For maximum chi, build 2 Tengu and 1 Occultist icon.
