This thread is to announce tour times and also to help anyone who wants to become a part of the tours. Please use it to post any feedback on the tours as well.

There is information for the riders as well as the tour conductors, please see the below Table of Contents for the full listing.

Look at the last few pages of the thread for the latest tour times. Guides will bump the thread when a tour is about to happen and post all the relevant info of where to meet etc.

The tours are only for W60. The friend chats most often used are:
W60tour
World60bus
W60express

Please note Familiars on the bus are not allowed and you will be asked to dismiss them or to leave the tour.

Tours will take place most days and at various times. Keep checking back to find one to hop on. They will tell you everything you need and may even provide supplies for you.

If you don’t find a time for you, why don’t you plan one and become a tour guide yourself?

Welcome to the Penguin Tour Bus, enjoy the ride!

Penguins reset at exactly midnight GMT. For help converting this to your time zone, please see the "Events Calendar & Guide" thread at QFC 42-43-244-65568718, or just click here .

If you have your in-game clock on, reset occurs at 0:00, and you won't need to bother with timezone conversions. You can turn the in-game clock on by clicking the gear icon (or pressing esc on your keyboard) and clicking on "Interface Settings". Once that is open, look under the "Interface Options" heading, at the last item in the left column - there are two options that show the clock. Choose whichever you like better. You can move the clock around by unlocking your interface.

¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ Lead Guide ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥

He is the player responsible for leading the tourbus users to the 10 penguins and the polar bear. The Lead Guide will work with the Scouts to learn the penguins’ locations. The Lead Guide will always announce the next stop as well as the next Group Teleport’s destination. Always only accept these teleports from the Lead Guide or the Teleporter. Please do not ask the Lead Guide to go faster or to hurry.

¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ Scout ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥

The Scout will head to a penguin location ahead of the bus and relay the information to the Lead Guide. He is responsible for leading the Lead Guide to the various penguins and the polar bear. The Scout is often in a Team Penguin’s friend chat in order to know the penguins’ locations.

¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ Loudspeaker ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥

The Loudspeaker will update the bus’ current location or next penguin stop in the tour’s friend chat. He will also remind to tourbus users the needed items, the departure locations as well as various warnings. He will also help lost hunters trying to get back on the tour.

¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ Teleporter ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥

The Teleporter will perform the various Group Teleport needed during the tour, especially when the Lead Guide doesn’t have the magic level necessary to cast them. Only accept group teleports from the Teleporter or the Lead Guide.

(¸.•´ __(¸.• 1.6 TIPS FOR TOURBUS USERS

With as popular as our "All 10 Tours" are getting, we've noticed quite a few people getting lost/left behind in the (somewhat) controlled-chaos. We've put together a few of the more common questions and some tips to make things easier on yourself and the tour runners. Please keep these in mind when you make use of this service in the future, it will make the tour more enjoyable for everyone.

¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ FAQ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥

¤¤¤ What *IS* an "All 10 Tour/Tour Bus"? ¤¤¤

An efficient, mostly uncomplicated way to get all 10 penguins + polar bear. The tour leaders figure out where the penguin is, tell you what you need to bring and escort you to each penguin (ensuring you get all 10 if you keep up). This is also useful for hunters that do not wish to/can't keep up with the FC flow, as you do not even have to be in FC to enjoy the benefits!

¤¤¤ What's the difference between a "Tour" and a "Taxi"? ¤¤¤

A tour is a guided escort to one or more penguins/locations. A taxi is a teleportation service we offer for specific locations (Lunar is a good example!) For a taxi you always require "Accept Aid" to be set to on, most times the tours will require this too.

¤¤¤ How do I turn on "Accept Aid"??? ¤¤¤

Click the wrench in the side panel; click the first aid pack so it has a red background. Accept aid is now ON. You will receive tele-other/tele-group request screens for the purpose of tours/taxis as well as certain other spells, like cure poison spells on certain Elfland tours. Remember to turn off after tour if you do not wish to receive these at other times.

¤¤¤ How long do the tours take? ¤¤¤

It really depends on the locations of the penguins and methods of travel. Average time is 30-60 minutes from departure to get them all.

¤¤¤ What do I need to bring for a tour? ¤¤¤

The items vary by week/tour runner. The best way to know is to check our thread and make note of the time and location of departure, items required/suggested and who is running it. Most commonly you need teleports (runes/tabs, jewelry, quest items), a bit of money (under 5k total usually), a few food (if lower level), an antipoison and a couple energy pots (if agility is low). This list is NOT all-inclusive, just a quick overview!

¤¤¤ I got lost on a tour, how do I catch back up??? ¤¤¤

If you missed a tele-group spell and it's near another teleport spot, PM the tour leader and ask them to let you catch up, and get there ASAP. If you aren't sure where you were supposed to go, ask them. If you absolutely can't get to that current spot, ask for the next location (skipping the penguin to get later) and go to the next planned spot to continue your hunt.

¤¤¤ I died on tour! *Panic!* What do I do??? ¤¤¤

PM tour leader (to see if still in the area where you died) most of our tour leaders can bless graves. Also, announce in the FC if you are in one, we have several people who are capable of blessing graves, and one may be in the area/go look for your grave if you can give a description of the location and time left until collapse. WE MAKE NO GUARANTEES OF SUCCESSFUL BLESSING/RETRIEVAL OF ITEMS. Please only take the items the tour leader suggests and what you are willing to risk in dangerous areas for this reason.

¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ TIPS ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥

¤¤¤ BEFORE THE TOUR ¤¤¤

* Check forum thread for specific items needed/departure time.
* Arrive and be ready to go at least 5-10 minutes before departure time.
* Double check with tour leader if any changes have been made to route/required items for tour before departure.
* Ask for and equip a "Team-41" wilderness cape, most tour leaders wear these for easy visibility to those not in the FC with them!
* Ensure Accept Aid is ON!
* Add the tour leader to your friends list. If you get lost, toggle "Public" chat tab to friends, and see where tour was heading next. This works even if the tour leader DOESN'T have you added! Don't forget to set back to public if you want to see other players' messages!

¤¤¤ DURING THE TOUR ¤¤¤

* Follow tour leader. This ensures you receive tele group spells as they only work in the 1-space radius around the caster.
* Trail the tourbus leader, so you can see dots pointing to their location. It makes it easier to find them in a large group.
* When tour leader announces next teleport location/meeting spot, announce it too, so others can see it in the chaos (colored text works well). Just like FC, more reports = faster hunts!
* If you're in a FC, report the stop number, penguin you spied, location and next stop, if you have time. This ensures others hunting solo can get their penguins too, as well as others that may have missed a stop know where you are heading!
* Do not run ahead of the tour leader when approaching a penguin, often the leader will slow down to avoid breaking a trap. A broken trap means a harder hunt for the next hunters and frustration for the trappers. Please spy from a distance/over a fence when possible, close gates/doors and try to avoid stepping on the people trapping a penguin.
* Say hello and thank you to our trappers, we always like a friendly word from the hunters!
* HAVE FUN! (It’s not a game if it’s not fun!)

(¸.•´ __(¸.• 1.10 SPECIALTY TOURS

The All Ten Tour is not always necessary.
These are example categories of other available Tours, but not limited:

¤¤¤ Express Tour ¤¤¤

Express tours, are very much like normal tours; we hit all ten penguins, and the polar bear (excluding the wilderness). The difference between express and normal tours is that express tours are a lot faster.
Express tours have more requirements, but use some other types of transportation (Ectophial, Fairy Rings, Elf Teleport Crystals, and more) to make the tour run faster.
Express tours do have the fastest possible route in place, meaning we do not separate quest and non quest penguins, taking the fastest possible route.
Express tourguides always run, and do not pick up people who got lost.

¤¤¤ Taxis ¤¤¤

* Desert Taxi - guides you to locations in the Desert, south of Shantay Pass.
* Elf Taxi - guides you to locations in the Tirannwn Elf Lands.
* Skiller's Tour - guides you to all Non-Quest related locations (excluding the Wilderness).
