(¸.•´ __(¸.• 3.0 PASSENGER TIPS

As a passenger on tour, welcome! We hope to get to all of the penguins in a exciting, fun-filled manner. Even if it's your first time or a returning passenger on a penguin tour, here are additional tips to improve your experience:

¥ ¥ ¥ ADDITIONAL TIPS ¥ ¥ ¥

¤¤¤ Communicate with the tourguide ¤¤¤
During the tour, communicate any immediate concerns with your tourguide at any point in time such as:

• Trouble accessing a penguin
• Lost and need to find the tourguide
• Need items from your bank during the tour
• Other concerns not listed here

Passengers may coordinate with the tourguide to come up with a solution including, but not limited to spying specific penguins after the tour has concluded.

¤¤¤ Get the route on forums ¤¤¤
Similar to real life schedules, each tourguide will follow their own route to each penguin. Routes may be found on a tourguides post in this thread. Otherwise tourguides will communicate their next penguin. The route you see may deviate at any point in time during the tour such as when the ghost is found during the tour.

(¸.•´ __(¸.• 3.1 ADDITIONAL TIPS TO CREATING A TOUR ROUTE

Each tourguide will use a route to travel to all the intended penguins. Here are additional tips to making a route.

¥ ¥ ¥ CHOOSE YOUR DEPARTURE POINT ¥ ¥ ¥

¤¤¤ Depart from a bank to the nearest penguin ¤¤¤
PRO: Passengers get access to a bank before departure
CON: Increased traveling distance to the penguin

¤¤¤ Start at the penguin ¤¤¤
PRO: Passengers spy the first penguin once they arrive at the departure point
CON: No convenient access to the bank

¤¤¤ Start at a penguin which requires an item ¤¤¤
PRO: One less item required for the tour
CON: Passengers may have issues getting to the departure point

¥ ¥ ¥ ITEMS¥ ¥ ¥

¤¤¤ Use Common Teleports ¤¤¤
Teleports passngers would use to travel everywhere outside of a penguin tour are recommended such as, but not limited to:

* Readily accessible lodestones
Examples include: Ardougne, Eagles Peak, and Yannile

* Charterships
4100 coins (Port Phasmatys <-> Port Khazard) without doing the Cabin Fever quest is the maximum amount of coins required to travel by chartership.

* Wilderness Levers
These are located at Edgeville Yews and West Ardougne entrance. Despite having people to wait to pull the lever, it's the fastest method to travel to the high level wilderness

¤¤¤ Quest/Expensive teleports ¤¤¤
Depending on the tour type tourguides intend to use, utilizing quest items such as Fairy Ring teleports may not be for everyone. Generally, quest items enable faster travel, but requires multiple quests to utilize. It's up to the tourguide to choose teleports to accommodate the most passengers on the tour.

Teleports:
*Fairy Ring
*Ectophial
*Luck of the Dwarves
*Spirit Trees

Quest teleports required for the tour may be used if a specific quest is required to access a penguin. For example, the Ape Atoll bush/barrel requires starting Monkey Madness, which requires completing Tree Gnome Village quest. As a result of completing the Tree Gnome Village Quest, the passenger has access to the spirit trees which can be used to access Ape Atoll through Daero and the spirit tree in the Gnome Stronghold.

¥ ¥ ¥ OPTIONAL STOPS ¥ ¥ ¥

¤¤¤ Polar Bear ¤¤¤
Based on the penguin locations and the polar bear location, it's recommended to route the tour through a polar bear towards a penguin whenever possible. For example, travelling to the Rellekka Polar bear towards Neitzinot or Jatizso from the Fremmnik Province Lodestone works better than travelling from the Varrock lodestone to Varrock well, then to the sawmill because the varrock gate to the well opens for one person at a time. In this example, the wicked hood to the earth altar would be better to the sawmill directly.

¤¤¤ Ghost ¤¤¤
When a confirmed ghost is active, you may deviate the tour to the ghost as long as the ghost doesn't travel into an inaccessible location such as water. Five minutes is the maximum amount of time from spawn to despawn a ghost penguin will remain active. It's up to tourguides whether attempting to spy ghost would benefit passengers.
