How Working in the Citadel Works.

Citadel work is easy. Just wander up there anytime and have a look around, you do not have to wait for the probation period (7 days as a clan member) to end to look around. Grab someone who is up there to give you a tour if you want one or pm Tigergal if she is on. Once you are able to work up there you may collect 2700 worth of resource per week. Rebuilt is around 0:15 am GMT Wednesday.
So what is up there?
On the west side of the castle there are 5 working plots. South west is the wood cutting where you chop at the tree roots. Beside this the south east plot is
Summoning/Obelisk
. A large central gateway is surrounded by 4 pillars. To work this plot click on the corner pillar that is glowing. Jagex has placed a cap on the resource gathered at the Summoning plot of 10%, so you will only be able to collect around 270 resource here. The pillars change frequently and this plot is slow to work but it is the Citadel manager's most valuable resource so is a compulsory ask each week.
Still on the west side of the castle - the middle plots. The western plot is the
Fire/Kiln
plot. Four stations surrounded by corner pairs of wood bins (treat each pair as one). Click one of the corner pair bins. When finished move to another pair. Each corner pair must be emptied before all the bins refill. If working the plot solo it is easier to work the four bins in the middle of the plot.
To the east of this plot is the
Smithing/Furnace
plot. Divided in half, normal ore is processed in the northern half, precious ore in the southern half. Processing is in 3 stages, shovel 2 ore bins worth into the furnace, empty the bar moulds, then empty the water trough. This plot can be annoying, it relies on ore and charcoal being available from work on other plots.

How Working in the Citadel Works (cont).

Still on the west side of the castle - the northern plots West is fallow at the moment. East is the
Mine plot
, lying on a W / E angle. Stone is found on the bottom layer on both sides. On the top west side is precious ore and on the top east side normal ore. All 3 mine resource give the same xp.
Now to the East side of the castle. 4 fallow plots are here with only the southern and middle western plots filled. South is the
Craft/Loom
plot. Eight looms, 4 on each side. To work this plot click each loom 4 times, once it is empty move onto the next one. When all 8 looms are empty they refill.
The middle plot is the
Cook/Barbecue
plot. There are several work stations but there is no need to move around just work one station. The station has 3 possible actions, gut fish, fry fish or make fish stew. You can do 1 of these or all 3 it makes no difference.
Citadel bonus xp
Somewhere between 400 and 1400 resource collected you will get a message that you have qualified for bonus xp. The amount of work you have to do is dependent on your overall levels. The higher you are the more you have to do. The bonus xp is collected by right clicking the Quartermaster inside the Citadel Keep on the west side (can also pay the 300 orts, Avatar fee here). The bonus xp can be used on any of the citadel skills and is credited toward a 100% experience boost while skilling anywhere (including at citadel skill plots).

Clan fealty cloaks and xp.

A star, shown on the bottom of your clan cape, it is given for earning (not claiming) the bonus xp in the previous week. Each star means a % bonus in xp when working in the Citadel. 1 star =15% bonus, 2 stars = 30% & 3 stars = 45%. Most of the clan are now on the 3 stars & 45% bonus. Your star rating changes the first time in the week you enter the Citadel after rebuild.
3 is the maximum rating that you can attain and is for consecutive weeks worked. If you miss a week your star rating decreases by one, work a week it increases by 1 (up to that max of 3). Once you enter the Citadel and have a 3 star rating you may claim the fealty xp, you do not have to work first. Fealty xp is claimed by right clicking your clan cloak and selecting fealty-reward. The fealty xp can be claimed for any skill and is at the same rate as strange rocks.
So after 3 week of Citadel work you can claim the citadel bonus xp (off the Quartermaster on western side of keep), 45% bonus xp in the Citadel and weekly fealty xp reward (from clan cloak). I cannot think of a single reason not to spend a little time up in our house in the sky.

What else is in the Citadel?

Inside the castle on the east side is a bank and an alter. Another bank is located in a chest beside the battlefield. The battle field has not really been used except for agility and summoning boosts for effigies (see Battlefield guide). It is available for use (do not alter scenario B). The first floor of the Castle (2nd if you are USA) holds meeting rooms and a disco dance floor. Up another flight of stairs, there is a theatre and rooftop views.
Flying around is a large black shape - our clan dragon - Vanilor. When at home his perch is directly south of the Mine plot. Behind the Castle, northern central of the Citadel is a large pool. This is the home of the 3 clan Avatars when they are not out working.
Other info
– click the castle where rs map usually is (half way up on right) to tellyport around citadel and gain info on citadel work and progress.
- Click the castle icon on your toolbar (bottom right) to see your and clans total in any resource, target levels and your total resource collected.
- You need no tools to work in citadel.
- xp gained at each skill depends on the level of the skill plot, your level in that skill, and how much fealty bonus you have earned.

Citadel battlefield guide
- by Robberbaron8

The citadel battlefield has some interesting features, 1 of which is temporarily boosting combat stats as well as agility. For any clan members who may have a need for this feature, there is a battlefield layout "B" that has been reserved for this purpose.
To use this layout, go to the citadel and talk to the battlemaster. He is located in the far south-east of the complex. Right click the battlemaster and select initiate battle option. if there is not a battle in progress, you will be taken to the battlefield and will see a menu for setting the rules of the battle. This can be done solo if you wish. If there is someone else on the battlefield, you will be able to join them but the person who initiates the battle sets the rules.
The two rules that need to be set are as follows:
1. Battlefield layout. This should be set to "layout B'. It can be set by clicking the arrow to the right of the layout box.
2. Battle ends when a player scores... This option is several items down in the menu and should be set to "5 points". If you do not set this rule this way, the battle will never end and you will have to log to leave.
After these have been set, confirm and the battle will begin. There will be a 1 minute waiting period before the battlefield becomes active, and there is a timer for this by the xp counter.
When the timer reaches 0:00, you can step on the green portals to receive a stat boost. There is one portal for summoning and one for agility. When you are ready to leave the battlefield, simply kick one of the two balls you see into a goal. This will score 5 points and end the battle.

Avatar Warden guide

To summons an Avatar left or right click "Interact" on one then choose summon, you will now have 4 options to choose from, these are called "buffs". Choose which buff you would like, there will be details on what each one does when you hover over it. After choosing which buff you would like it will ask again if you want to summon as a confirmation.
Please dismiss an Avatar before you log out as that Avatar will be in limbo until you log in or 6 hours after you have logged out.
Only one Avatar appears and works in a world at a time and the first one in that world has priority over others. If you have an Avatar you can still enter another world where one is currently at, it will act as if it is still with you just not appear or work.
It is hard to keep track of what you can and can not do. The Avatar seems to be recognized as a pet and familiar which means the Avatar can not go many places that these things are not allowed.
Some of the most commonly used places an Avatar can not go is in Daemonheim, Stealing Creations, Runespan and Fish Flingers. Also while in the Grand Exchange nobody receives benefits so make your trips short if you have to enter the GE.
Sometimes when coming and going the Avatar will disappear, to get it back right click the summoning icon and choose "Call Follower" this most commonly happens upon entering and leaving your POH. If you can not call it back it may have dismissed itself in which case just go back to the citadel and resummon.

Pipetz Guide-G.O.P.
(updated by Yanaaaa)

Hi. Here is a basic guide for Great Orb Project mini game. I'll try to make it as simple as possible just to begin.

Reward:
Teletablets to altars, +100% xp bonus while crafting runes during the mini game. There are other rewards but most useful is the teletablets.

Requirements:
rune crafting level 50, Rune Mysteries quest completed

Suggested items (not necessary):
essence pouches, explorer's ring 2+, runecrafting gloves from Fist of Guthix, weight reducing cloths

Starting location:
Runecrafting Guild (accessible at the top floor of the Wizard's Tower)

Check forum Minigames and D&D's for G.O.P. friend chat channels or use the group activity button to join a group.

To Start:
In Runecrafting Guild, to join a game talk to either Wizard Acantha (green) or Wizard Vief (yellow). Your hat and weapon slots must be free. You'll be given a hat of colour of your team and three wands.

1 wand (twisted) - to attract orbs
2 wand (strait) - to repel orbs
3 wand (headed) - to create barriers

You will need empty weapon and helmet slots and recommended empty inventory other than wands and the essence pouches. When there are enough people to start (min 4), go through the portal that has appeared - the game has begun.

All you need to do is attracting orbs of you colour to altar. There are 8 altars involved: air, mind, water, earth, fire, body, chaos, nature.
Every round lasts 2 minutes, then there is a short time to make runes from essence you gain. New portal appears and you get to next altar. One game lasts *20 minutes

Pipetz Guide-G.O.P. continued
(updated by Yanaaaa)

how active the player is. This bar gradually depletes over time. Once a player's bar reaches the bottom, the player will be removed from the minigame and sent back to the Guild. In order to keep the bar up and to stay in game, players must attract/repel orbs or create and destroy barriers which will fill a portion of the bar.
-
50/50 game:
We can play non-competitive 50/50 game to guarantee reward (400 tokens). It means one team wins at first altar, other - at second and etc.
-
That's all to start. Good luck!
-
Tips:
* Wizard's Tower is located south of Draynor village. The fairy ring code 'DIS'
teleports you south of the tower. Wicked hood teleport is quickest way.
* GOP bonus and FoG rc gloves' bonus are stockable (100%+100%)
* Explorer' ring 2+ - +10% extra runes and xp for air/water/earth/fire runes
* Essence pouches can be obtained by killing abyssal monsters (non-multicombat abyss area accessible through fairy ring, code ALR, is much safer). Easiest monster is abyssal leech (lvl 41). There are five sizes: small, medium, large, giant. A massive pouch is available from Wizard Finix and costs 1,000 runespan points. They are not repairable and will last for 42 uses before it crumbles to dust.

Addition by Anriso to GOP guide by Pipetz:
(small editing by Yanaaaa)

Hi I have reviewed Pipetz introduction to Great Orb Project. This is a great introduction - but he left out one key item !!
It is this -- Come play with us and we will help you learn the game!
You will not only raise your runecrafting xp and get runes for "free" (essence is provided in the game), but you can get rewards like teletabs to rune altars. These can be useful for other purposes. I use the Earth altar teletab when I am running mahog logs to the sawmill to make planks (for construction), and some of the other teletabs to work on the Beacon network (firemaking skill). Plus the teletabs are great for just general getting around. If you can't make teletabs in your house - you can still earn rewards and get teletabs to altars all over runescape.
Looking forward to playing Great Orb Project with you.
