Explaining the Special Trap Directory
This part will also contain NPC traps!
This section will always be a work in progress. Jagex loves to change things around from time to time, and every graphical update of an area or object can change the directory drastically.
Especially since the last one was very outdated, consider this a rough draft. There may be many special traps that have not been found or recorded as of yet. It will be up to you, the readers, to find and report any changes and new traps. Termluke and I will confirm the findings, and I will change the thread.
To save space, I am condensing the information about each trap to one line.
I am not talking about how effective a special trap is. That is a matter of opinion. For instance, the Yanille South Wall is not a special trap, but no one could argue that it isn't an effective trap on world 60.
Many of these special traps are very poor choices to leave a penguin in. That is because NPCs can bump a penguin out of them. I will list the traps where the NPCs are unable to do that first as they tend to be more effective.

Key to Understanding this Guide
The first part is the location of the trap.
The second part contains one of these codes:
ST - self trap, a penguin can find it on its own
½ST - self trap for a penguin, but an NPC needs to help bump it in
UB - unbreakable, an NPC cannot enter the trap
2x - there is a special trap of the same kind inside the first trap
The third part shows the size of a trap.
S - a small trap (usually just 3 spaces or slightly larger)
M - a medium trap (usually a whole house or room)
L - a large trap (a whole building or area)
The final part contains any additional relevant information about the trap.
