The Lumbridge crater has been filled in and we have been given a new trap! :D

North east side of the central lake has 9 squares enclosed in an area of bushes. There are rabbits nearby but they don't seem to be able to reach the area.

Familiars are now allowed in the area, so no need to dismiss them before trapping.

In this Thread's terms of the above find^

East side of the center of the crater in Lumbridge - S - UB (rabbits can't get near), not a self-trap.

The area is still planned to be used for seasonal events like the Beach, therefore this is one of those traps which doesn't always exist.

Been a very long time since I've updated this.

I've split the roaming areas. I've updated traps in Lumby swamp and in the Desert and in Sophanem.

If I've missed anything in terms of this thread, please let me know.

*wonders how out of date this is*

Removed the following:

Farmhouse north of Ardougne - M
Building near windmill -S

Added the following:

Needle Skips house -UB -M

==================================

I'm probably missing a few things over the past two years. Please let me know.

Random theory thought...

A few weeks ago while herding a Gnome Stronghold bush to the terrorbird pen area, one of the herders reset it (it was too far north, so resetting it gave us a little extra leverage to take it further south). It didn't reappear at its spawn for several minutes.

What would happen if a group of ( very ) coordinated people were to reset all penguins at exactly the same time (barring the Freezer peng) and none of the penguins arrived at their spawn points for a minute or two, and during that time, players asked Chuck for hints? :P What would Chuck reply with?

This theory would probably be nigh impossible to achieve, as reset times seem to vary a little and sometimes the penguins go back to their spawn points within a matter of seconds of being reset. You would need at least 10 people to reset the penguins at the same time (preferably, near their spawns, so they can watch the spawn), and a handful of people spamming Chuck for clues simultaneously. And, of course, quite a bit of luck.

N.B. Testing this theory probably would've worked better if it had been done before Chuck started giving hints to the ghost's location (on the assumption this theory hasn't been tested before).

This once happened to me years and years back (August 2009):

I was getting my penguins in world 151. I had already resetted a bush from east of Combat Training Arena to "where eagles fly" -cue area. I found the Barb bush in Catherby and resetted to confirm respawn coordinates. While waiting I asked for clues using contact npc.
When the penguin teled I was in the middle of questions (there is way too many clicks) and I decided to go through them all.

The clue Chuck gave me was -- "somewhere in RuneScape" :O
When I teled to Barbarian Outpost I still had to wait for the bush to appear there.

If you want to read more about this you can find it on Penguin & Ghost Clues

Wow that is really interesting, thanks Elipile!

I have read through your clue thread (its very informative) before, but must have missed that post.

With the recent announcement that forums are closing, the World60 penguin group will be moving primarily to our sub reddit on Reddit - reddit.com/r/world60pengs and our discord channel as well we continue to have Twitter (X) and update the Rs wiki.

We will be preserving a lot of the information that we have created and posted on the RS forums over the past 15+ years including information from this thread.

Thanks for the all the posts and contributions!
