ppl don't do the mingames anymore because the rewards for the most part aren't worth the time, like in pest control the void armor isn't good anymore, u really think people would do them in osrs if the rewards weren't worth while? look at the last man standing minigame they added the rewards aren't good enough so no one does it

yup soul wars and castle wars died long ago.

even 4 years ago it was a lot of hopping around and begging on forums for a chance to get a game together long enough to get the reqs completed for those.

I hear its worse now.
I see some clan members try to revive CW and go in groups.
yes I went along to add to the numbers.
yes it was pretty lame as still with an advertised and planned event there still were not enough ppl to make it any fun.

but those that needed the reqs done were sure happy to get that out of the way.

yup soul wars n CW are dead as darkmeyer and the mazcab and the other arc island type adventures that players quickly forgot about.

Castle wars is my favorite mini game of all time. My 1st account had full decorative on it and currently working on my 2nd. Let me give some insight on what will balance out castle wars from its current mind boggling state
- Wearable team specific full helms in castle wars , sold from shop.
-Decorative gives a bonus while inside castle wars.
-Add another tab where we can spend tickets on upgrading the stats/style of cosmetics.
Each tier will look different. This will motivate people to want to participate/win in castle wars. rather than just afking. Current rewards aren't enough to motivate players/bring them back.
Add a wand/shield to replace kodai/ely/spectral.
-5/5+wand/shield bonuse up to 3 Tiers. Tier 3 being considerable to ely/kodai.
- Allowing each class its own special ability.
(warrior - dmg. Tank - defensive protection from mage/melee/ranged attacks. Mage - Redirect enemies into a state of confusioe/reduce defense lvl by x. Healer - multi-target heals/chance for effected to gain reflective damage.)
This will allow coordinated play styles on each team.
Once enough players are set in their gear and castle wars is poppin again, you can open up a world meant only for those with 5/5 pieces equipped.

We need something more to give us a reason to want to play because ancestral/ely/kodai wand ruin it. You need to either dis-allow ancestral and ely/ armadyl and then games will be more balanced giving players reason to want to try rather than just afking, knowing its near impossible to do anything once you run into a mage in the cave/1st floor of base with range/melee attacking you, as a 125 you're dead instantly.
New gear was added . Gear that didn't exist in the original castle wars.
To balance this, you do 1 of the 2 things I mentioned. Revamp the shop/stats of gear to balance with ely/kodai/ancestral/armadyl or you don't allow those items to be worn into castle wars.
The style of gear, (how cool it looks) would seal the deal. Live together Kill together Die together

This is a serious issue. I created my account back 15+ years ago and I'm very saddened that Castle Wars and other minigames are "dead." I truly feel if there were better updated rewards besides the spotlight there would be a significant increase in veteran and most importantly old loyal players returning to the game. I highly recommend upgrading the reward system.

More players and loyal players would come of this I'm certain, which is more money in your pockets, Jagex, and a happier community for all of us.
