You may not remember making that statement, but I personally saw you do so. I even tried to pm you about it at the time which is what caused me to come here. I really didn't want to turn this into a public spectacle.
I'm aware of how frustrating it must be to keep up the "it's not our website" bit. Ranks up there with "close the damn door". And that type will be the first to complain if the penguins aren't trapped. Worse, I think the majority of those who are causing you to have to make that statement know that it's not your website and just don't care.
As to being "monetized", well, servers and bandwidth aren't free. The server in my den costs me north of $275/yr just in electric and shares our $1200/yr internet. Then there is the hardware itself plus occasional maintenance. Are they making a profit on it? Who knows. I had to turn off my ad blocker to see what it was you were referring to. They don't make crap from me
I also know how to fix the problem, permanently, and cut them off at the knees. But I'm not going to post it here because if they found out it would make it harder to do. If you want to know then add me in game and next time I see you on I'll send you a pm.
Normally I wouldn't go there, but if they don't want to cooperate while taking advantage of this groups work... Yeah, that's the kinda thing that will bring my old butt out of retirement, roll up the sleeves, and say "how do you like me now"
