1. Desert cactus - last in house south of Sumona in Pollnivneach

2. Ice Mountain rock - last in Draynor Manor, northwest room

3. Port Khazard barrel - last in Ardy Clocktower, southwest of Ardy Zoo

4. Goblin Village bush - last northwest of Troll Invasion, on ledge near low wall to Death Plateau

5. NW Ardougne - last in Ardy Castle, south wing

The W60 group is by far the best I've seen in all my time of playing RS. I've hunted penguins for as long as I can remember, even helped do a bit of trapping back in 2009-2011. Quit, and like many players, eventually came back a few years ago. Still going strong, still the same helpful people.

With that said this constant crap about "the website" is getting old. Canada tonight you said something like "this chat is so much easier than the website". As a very experienced player I'm saying "No, No it's not". Especially if you are a using a weekly reset.

The website couldn't exist without "your" group, but that doesn't mean it isn't very helpful to it, especially before the friend chat limit update. It sucks to keep having to say "website isn't run by us", blah blah. But the fact you are having to do so is a dead giveaway to how many people use it.

I just wish the two could "cooperate". I'm sure there is some reason you feel you can't work with them, and/or they the same. But I think it's nuts. They couldn't exist without you. And they would be very helpful to you if you weren't having to constantly say "that ain't us"

Is there not some middle ground somewhere...

Hi Sc, thanks for the comments and the compliments. Our goal since the beginning has always been to help people. Sometimes there are things that get in the way of that. Prime example is today when the website cannot be edited but is showing last week’s locations for more than 3 hours after reset when the majority of players are spying.

I did comment a lot on the website today in the penguin friends chat but I did not say the line you attributed to me. I was repeating to players to not use the website as it was incorrect. I probably typed those lines at least a dozen times in fc. That was all time I was not helping or answering hunter’s questions of course. That is not a good use of my time in a busy chat. It wasn’t just me either, many helpers had to stop other things and explain.

We have never said the website doesn’t help hunters. We are aware players use it, and like it. It’s a tool players use while hunting. That is not in question. What is at issue is that the majority of players think WE run the website and then come to us to complain when it is not updated or functioning. They repeat in chat the wrong information they read on the website causing confusion that we have to untangle, which is a disruption and takes away from helping. They are confused and asking for penguins that do not exist but the website lists. They are frustrated from wasting time searching areas that don't have a penguin. They expect us to fix it’s errors.

We have no control over the website and when it is not functioning it creates distraction and disruptions. At it’s best it doesn’t affect us, but at worst it’s a detriment to our mission. That is when we take issue.

In fact we have to dedicate one volunteer from our group whose job at reset is to monitor the website and try to make edits when they can. We have pulled that player away from helping in other ways simply because we have so many issues with the website and try to mitigate the effect on the hunters and our helping them. That is how much of an issue it really is. It’s not even our website but the fact it works and is successful is owing to us having to do that.

It does suck having to repeat the website isn't run by us but it’s the fastest, most succinct way to explain to players to not to complain or look to us to fix the website. That is why we repeat it so often. If it’s getting old to you, imagine how it is for us.

Yes, I do wish there was more co-operation between our group and the website owner. In fact I tried repeatedly to contact them in the early days to no avail. They took our name and do not acknowledge the work that we do that makes them relevant. They don’t even acknowledge they are not affiliated with us. They have monetized our work and efforts and actively profit from it. They do nothing to alleviate the many headaches they have caused us or show they wish to support what we do.

I have posted a weekly thread for over 14 years on this forum. The number of times I have been unable, I can count on my two hands but I always had a backup plan in place. I wish I could say the same for the website owner. This past reset is a good example. Over three hours there was no update and even now, over 7 hours later, they still have the 12th penguin with the wrong disguise and misspelled Ardougne. Certain penguins cannot be edited. It is susceptible to trolling like the week when every update was changed to “Big Chungus”. That was fun.
