I have a question about how Slot 3 behaves.
My situation
I routinely do five accounts every day. They all have capes, so I always know the choice that is worth 40 vis wax for slot 3. When that is an expensive combination rune, I go looking for a cheaper alternative.
My Observation
It seems to me that I often see the same or similar choices that work well for several of my accounts. For example, three of my accounts might all have Lava as the choice for 40 vis wax, and Chaos might be a good alternative and have the same value in vis wax for each of them. Note, I have not made any careful notes. This is just an impression I've begun to form in my mind based on doing this activity for several months.
My speculation
I'm beginning to suspect that the sequence of runes for slot 3 is not completely randomized for each player. Instead, there may be a set number of sequences (in the same way that there are three sequences for slot 2) and each player is randomly assigned one of these sequences.
My question
Do you know if Jagex defines a limited (smallish) number of possible sequences for Slot 3?
