Exactly what you were doing:
After doing an agility daily (24 laps on the Adv. Barb Course) I decided to run some laps on the Hefin agility course since the VOS was in Hefin at the time. Got it after about 20 minutes there. This was the first time I had done agility since the pets update. My Agility level is 110 (41M)

Exactly what you were doing: Siphoning Soul Esswraiths and skull nodes +, got Rue in about an hour at 101 rc from bloody skulls node.....i think i got lucky.
