Hey there! Just a quick suggestion on the RS music.

A lot of RS music is lovely! (IMO way better than Warcraft) But I know a few RS players who never listen to it, even if they're not PVM veterans. Admittedly, I don't listen to RS music half of the time either. I prefer to download it from RS Wiki where I have more control over Media Player on Windows.

How do we give RS music more attention?

Add more variety in certain locations. Even the nicest music (like Elf City music) gets boring if we hear it too often. You don't need to create more music. Just add more to the location, even if it doesn't directly relate to the area. There's a lot of nice RS music that's forgotten because we completed that quest years ago.

Also, give players an option to exclude certain music. Not everyone likes 'Wending Through The Willows'...

Add more silence and ambiance. Ambiance music is easy to create and it's great for filling the silence. Sometimes we need a rest from beautiful music, and Ambiance is perfect for this!

Also, give players control over how long of a break between music there is. Some like to binge music, while repetition for others is painful. We all are different.
We can go a step further and add an option to disable the music in certain locations. Such as mute music for boss fights only so we can concentrate (and not worry about re-enabling music when we're done).

RS music is beautiful yet underappreciated.
Give players a greater reason to unlock more RS music!

I’d really like to see more of the older music brought back into rotation. I was disappointed that much of it was banished to the music player when RS3 was released. While the evolution of the soundtrack was inevitable to a degree, I wish that more of the old music had been given new life instead of what happened. Each of the main areas in older parts of the game used to have a variety of tracks that played uniquely in those areas. I feel like this made those areas more interesting and distinctive. It also broke up the monotony of grinding and made for a deeper, more immersive experience.

Of course, some of the old tracks were modernized. However, many of the reworked tracks were pale reflections of the originals. The iconic Wilderness tracks “Crystal Sword” and “Deep Wildy” sound really weak now. Other tracks were compromised more subtly. “Spirit” used to have an interesting piano part near the late middle of the track, which could have been considered the bridge of the song. The most interesting part of that song was removed in the modern version.

Similarly, while strong in its own right, RS3’s version of “Autumn Voyage” lost the pensive and mysterious sentiment of the original. The previous version was slower and much more complex, both emotionally and in composition. The song used to be darker and have a subtle undercurrent of tension throughout, culminating in a breakdown leading into a bridge with a different time signature before resolving back to its familiar progression - the progression used as the basis for the modern version.

A reasonable assumption would be that one of the primary goals was to make the game’s soundtrack more consistent. Unfortunately, this was achieved largely by removing complexity and distinctiveness from the existing tracks, if not removing them from play altogether. On the whole, the reworked music sounds more plain and is less compelling than it could have been had a more thoughtful approach been taken.

One of the best reworked tracks, in my opinion, is Newbie Melody. Obviously this is subjective, but the newer version manages to remain true to the original to such a degree such that I no longer really miss the old version. I still get excited whenever I hear that track, whether it’s the new version or the original.

Another example, albeit for different reasons, is the track, “Book of Spells.” While I still prefer the old version, that particular track is a case in which the modern version is quite different from, yet arguably as good as, the original. The new version is slower and has a different arrangement but still captures the original feeling, illustrating how something old can be reimagined without losing its power and meaning.
