So I didn't mind the 300m event system, largely because we're not going to have one of those every single year, and it featured a cosmetic that was already semi-available in the Torva/Pernix/Virtus stuff, but now I see this is going to become a regular occurrence.
Frankly, I do NOT want to see this become a more regular thing, and I'm upset enough by it that I'm willing to actually post to the forums about it.
DO NOT make holiday event items completely unobtainable for some folks; that's just not cool at all. I expect this from EA and Activision, but not from you guys. When people go the entire event, doing exactly what's expected of them, and still can't get the item, there's a huge problem.
Now, I understand that this was designed to coerce people into buying more TH keys so you guys could make more and impress them (don't think we didn't notice y'all throttling the key limit from the Oddments store), but if this keeps up, I can assure you that I will definitely not be continuing to pay for my Premium membership. I can also assure you that I'm not the only person who feels this way about the recent string of events that have been pulled (Wilderness Yak Track comes to mind).
I would personally much prefer the old system you guys had, where one would do a mini-quest or some silly thing and get a guaranteed prize from it to celebrate the new year. That was actually fun, and I felt like I'd earned the thing, not to mention the lore that it provided. Still, anything but what I'm now dubbing "Lootbox Christmas". This is just bad.
Running a business, especially a large one, is difficult, and I understand you're at the mercy of your investors to provide results every quarter. Still, there are better ways to get what you need.
Other than this, and the , I'm happy to see QoL coming to the game. Thanks for that, and please try to keep the good work going. We as the population of the game rely on you to make the game as good as it can be made.
