Following on from the PvM Hub "War's Retreat" update which caused me to waste thousands of Loyalty Points on auras which I would not have otherwise purchased had I known at the time that they would cease to be Loyalty Point exclusive items...

Why is it not possible to refund Loyalty Point items? The only explanation we were given at the time was that it wasn't possible to.

As my purchases are now based on misleading information (at the time of purchasing they were exclusive Loyalty Point items, which was the reason I bought them, the exclusivity, with absolutely no indication that this would be changing) this leaves a deeply disappointed feeling about any future Loyalty Point (or even RuneCoin) purchases that I may make in the future.

Going forward I believe that no more Loyalty Point exclusive items should ever lose their exclusivity, but if they do, there must be a mechanism to refund them so that innocent victims such as myself do not feel scammed out of their valuable Loyalty Points.

You got access to them before other ppl so i dont really see any issue here?

Besides, you chose to buy them so i dont see how this is jagex's fault?

Personally I think those that bought these auras with loyalty points were lucky!

By doing nothing other than be a member and playing the game how you wanted you could accrue points to spend on these combat auras. A trimmed comp requirement no less.

Now those that didn't choose to spend the points on these have to kill bosses to purchase them, in effect doing things that should be done to get trimmed comp.

And no i hadn't bought them all myself with loyalty points.

If loyalty points were to be refunded then the auras themselves should be took from those accounts

then you got the benefit of them.

Even i had used my loyalty points for auras and i do not believe we should get
the loyalty points back.

Should those that got the auras but never used them get a refund?

I do like this logic though. Re-release the tradable party hats and other holiday items.

Eh, I had every aura already unlocked (like most people i guess). I'm not bothered about a refund, but i'd prefer if they had EVERY aura at the hub and just did away with loyalty points altogether.
Not sure what skilling auras have to do with a PVM hub. But nah, zerk aura's are enough.

People been asking for zerk auras for a long time because it is a requirement for all teams nowadays. I don't even bother joining teams when people are not using zerk aura's (except for Solak of course).

When the issue is mis-selling, that's when it's not the innocent buyer's fault. I bought the auras based on them being exclusive Loyalty Point items, I would not have bought them if there was even any slight indication that this would change. How long I've had access to them does not change this.

That is exactly what I want. The five auras removed from my account, and the Loyalty Point prices I paid refunded.
