IMO the point is that you have to make an INTELLIGENT decision on what ring to wear in different situations. Allowing you to choose more than one will just make a big mess of what otherwise would be a clear strategic choice.

support, but there should be two different categories, and the 2 rings you would wear could not be the same, and not give a double bonus or something like that because it would make it really unfair.

At least capes don't have special effects like supposedly improving drops or keeping track of slayer assignments. Most don't have teleport options either. The fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, Fulton, and the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.
