Now this is an idea I like the sound of, so you have my support.
I agree, too many rings and one finger slot isn't exactly very convenient, but I see both good and bad sides to the current option for the single ring slot. I'll start with bad, because bad news after good news ruins the mood.
Note: These reasons are for the CURRENT ring mechanic (one worn only)
Bad points:
-As stated (numerous) times, you can't wear the Ring Of Wealth and a Stat-boosting ring at the same time (or something similiar)
-Too many choices to make with what ring to take for the purpose. Do you take Ring Of Recoil to help kill the boss with reflected damage, or do you take a ring which offers crit boosts to your combat style? Perhaps you're smelting/smithing ores/bars into things, and want to decide upon boosted EXP from clan ring, or 100% chance for iron smelted successfully. Which do you choose?
-Do you need that minor crit boost from an expensive ring that badly (say, Berserker Ring)? Or can you take something cheaper and potentially life-saving (Ring Of Life)?
Good points (everyone likes those):
I see many of the reasons can be double-edged blades (to put ths into perspective, of course. If that were literal... well, who knows?)
-You can't make your character's crit chances massively OP with tons of the same ring worn (10 Archer Rings honestly isn't necassary)
-If you want to have the better loot AND crit boost/tele, you need to sacrifice food/potion roon, thus limiting time in the area and making you think more on how to best do the job.
-You need to think about the situation ahead and decide which ring s best. Or do you take multiple?
I realise there are only 3 per side, but more seemed unnecassary to me.
AND, specifically for the lazy among us, here's the lazy Version! (you're welcome)
Both sides have arguments, some (approx. 99%) of the reasons apply to both sides, support this thread because it's a good thread.
That's what I think on the matter. Oh, and I ran out of characters
